Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

I’m just disappointed that Cyril hasn’t been eating these for breakfast instead. Huge opportunity missed

Just checking up on the nutritional value of this serial - picking up the faintest whiff of....

Season three will show that he survived the explosion at the beach in Rogue One. A K2 unit washed up on shore, he climbed inside of it and burrowed under the sand.

After the explosion, he climbed out, scarred and bruised and needed several Bacta tank sessions.

He wears the droid body as armor and is now known as…..

The Andorlorian!

Jinn is dead though.

I still like The Mandalorian and it has a charm to it. It is more in the swashbuckling, adventurous spirit of the movies but I agree it frankly isn't that well written and has a lot of filler to it. I know people love Filoni, and I think he has his heart in the right place, but I've never thought he was all that great. He and Favreau are generally good together but I certainly think that Andor is better executed in most every way.

The style of the Mandalorian isn't that of a drama, it's in the style of "those old serials like Flash Gordon" and we all know what that influenced. Comparing the two is like comparing Durian to pineapple. The mandalorian is meant to be campy, no idea what catabory Boba fett and obi wan fall in except the bin. Andor is a drama series. My neighbors kids and their friends have been huge Mando fans yet can't understand what's going on in Andor. They want laser fights and spaceships. Both those shows and styles have an audience. But I promise you the moment we get an episode dedicated to a character searching for a tracking device inside of a fuel cap, I'm out.

It’s kind of the same with the cartoon Rebels, S1 was very OT style, but soon it slipped completely into Filoni Clone Wars, with helicopter lightsabers etc, I switched off after I saw Vader flying his TIE standing on top of it

Those were some of the dumbest and most cringeworthy things I had seen followed closely by light speed travelling space whales

As far as the Mandalorian and Filoni, the whole Dark Sabre story is going to kill the show for me. And probably not a popular opinion, but I am also not a fan of the Armorer and her whole schtick

It is clearly becoming Filoni's sandbox

That being said though, I did really enjoy the series for the most part aside from those two aspects

I just can not get into this show, but I am glad so many fans have something they are enjoying. (y)

The quality of this show and effort that has gone into it so amazing. It really pisses me off as this seems to be the only well done Star Wars thing Disney has done other than Mando which I love, but honestly is not as well done as Andor. The fact that I can not stand Andor makes it worse.

People want a slow burn drama about this character that is fine. No Force, Jedi, Sith, or anything that really makes something Star Wars IMHO, cool. Enjoy. It's great. A different take. Not for me but neither are vegetables.

Why, oh why is this tale the one that is well done??????????????????????

I just wish they put this effort into Mando, which I love, but has problems as has been mentioned. The dumpster fire that was Obi Wan and Book of Boba Fett.

Tough times to be a Star Wars fan.

Glad you all like it.

Yes, yes, and yes.(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

I thought we were done with the whole dumb no helmet removal and Armorer at the end of Season 2. I was so happy with the finale and then they destroyed it all in BOBF.

Okay one other thing. Sorry, thought I was done.

How in the hell do you make this completely different take on a Star Wars story. Meticulously do this show from start to finish in a way fans are enjoying, which was incredibly hard, new, and risky and yet you,....

Completely duck up a much simpler, and easy to satisfy story of the great and legendary characters of Boba Fett, Obi Wan, and make questionable decisions in Mando.

Why??????????????????????????????????????  (n)

Bad Ass Boba Fett. The Galaxies most notorious Bounty Hunter. Kind of writes itself.

Obi and Vader. Lots of unfinished business. "Obi Wan once thought as you do." There is your story. Hello. How hard is it?

Okay, so sorry. I am done. Been holding this in since Andor's premiere.

Please resume loving this show.

On a positive Andor note I am loving some of the found items. I have already picked up the cool Lantern and Roly Kit to go with my U wing model.

I think that the reason for the difference is twofold.

One is that The Mandalorian and Andor is that they're two completely different kinds of shows that are trying to tell two different kinds of stories. Mando is action adventure while Andor is more of a spy thriller.

The other difference is that Andor is being given 12 episodes to tell their story, enough episodes to really flesh things out and tell a fuller story with no need to rush things. Mando, along with Kenobi & BoBF, were only given 6 episodes to try to tell their stories and they suffer for it. Imagine if Andor was another 6 episode season show, it would feel kind of cheap too and would be a lot like BoBF & Kenobi where they try to tell too much story in just 6 episodes.
