Star Trek TNG PADDS Who Is The Expert On Originals?

Who out there in prop land has knowledge of original TNG PADDs. I'm specifically interested in finding out if any of the early small (3x5) PADDs where made with a machined metal case. Thanks!

I wouldn't consider myself an expert but the PADDs are my favorite TNG era Trek props.

I've seen wood, resin/styrene and acrylic scratch builds as well as the plastic cased light panels that began popping up in the movies and worked into the shows afterwards.

Here's the only metal PADD I've seen before, it's from season one and was rather bulky as it had a "bump out" panel in the back to house the light bulbs.

As for "machined" metal PADDs I've seen were fan made and they were made of aluminum.
