Just a quick and dirty project. So far it's coming along well.

Will you be painting them metallic, maybe with Alclad II paints?

I haven't tried any of the Allclad paints (although, of course, I've heard only wonderful things). Here's the first pulls from the mold:

I'll do a little painting this evening with the airbrush and we'll see what I come up with...
 
You need a gloss black base, and dont overspray with the alclad. Also, sometimes masking will leave a mark, so be careful

Can't wait to give it a try, thanks very much for the guidance.

I did paint the initial pulls with paints that I had on hand. Started with a base of primer, hit it with rattle-can metallic silver, then airbrushed the rank stripes with metallic gold (acrylic).

It looks like I had some minor bubbles from the pour in these casts and their showing up in the paint, but for a trial run I'm pretty pleased.
