Jeez, im almost expecting to see a horta to come slithering out of the background in that pic.

Back to Carol Marcus -

Y'know Alice Eve wouldn't be a bad choice for Sue Storm, if they were to do the Fantastic Four as a period piece in the 60's.

Oh WAZOOO! You had to go and clone the pic again didn't you?!?! Can't....fight...it ...

Throwing this out there again....

In one of the trailers we hear "He is one of our best agents." or something like that. An agent sounding name would be....Gary 7.

Carry On....

Gary Seven was not an agent for any 'Earth' based organization. He was a human brought to Earth by an alien race for the sole purpose of ensuring that humanity didn't destroy itself. I don't think blowing up cities on Earth is one way to accomplish such a task.

And for Star Trek's sake, further developing the concept behind "Assignment: Earth" is a very bad idea. Not only is it hardly a Star Trek episode at all, it actually contradicts one of the Star Trek's messages in that Humanity has grown as a species to put aside prejudice and greed because we humans are awesome! How do you convey that message when we only got to that point because we had help from an unknown alien race?

OK.....Then I agree with the guy over at Trek Today that is saying the guy is Ruk...an android as it is also plausible.

I don't think in Star Trek terms we reached that point in the 1960s... :facepalm

Star Trek's position is and has always been that we CAN acheive that. Not that we already have.

And Assignment: Earth's message is that we as a species could never have survived such a growth without completely obliterating each other unless we had help from an unseen alien race. So which is it? Did humanity accomplish these tasks on it's own, or did we need to be babysat by a higher degree of intelligent life? This was after all the aliens' plan for six thousand years.

That's a straw man argument.

As an adult I can say that my acheivements are my own but that doesn't mean that my parents didn't keep me from killing myself as a kid due to my youthful stupidity.

Star Trek's message is that we are growing and can be better. Why do you take such issue with that?

Weren't we fighting among ourselves until the Vulcans initiated first contact? If they never did that, it is possible that we would have destroyed ourselves.

I think by that time things had calmed down a little bit. It was after WW3.

My "future history" isn't the best though so don't quote me on that. ;)
