I have to admit this looks like an exciting, power-packed movie, but I still loath the idea that this is focused on revenge and not something higher. I'm beginning to feel as if this generation of movies will be called 'the vendetta age'. It's really quite tiresome.
I LOVE that Peter Weller is in this. Also looks like the chemistry between Kirk and Spock is spot on!

Kirk beamed her to the Enterprise. Her clothes got beamed to wherever Admiral Archer's dog went.
She does look like a young version of the Marcus we already know. :thumbsup
I'm looking forward to this film. Glad to hopefully be back to a slightly more proper Trek and hopefully they don't ermind us too much that this is a ship full of cadets.

Uh, yeah Bryancd. All the guys in this trailer are seen doing awesome action oriented stuff while all the ladies are seen as either whimpering, doubtful officers or just plain eye candy. If that's all you want, fine. But I have other expectations for characters outside of their ability to resort to titillating imagery. Maybe we'll get that from Carol, maybe not. It's disappointing that this is all they want to resort to.

As for Carol Marcus well she's in good shape just like every beautiful young woman in Hollywood. That's what they're there for. Her character probably is the same old thing who gives Kirk a hard time and they insult each other and then hop in the sack. It's a summer movie not a Meryl Streep drama.
The action looks good and the Enterprise is hopefully trashed beyond repair.
