I've never seen anyone do it before.
I've played around with the idea of creating a costume from some of the preprodution Art workups from the first game, but never did anything serious with the idea. (other then use the pictures in an online RPG)
I like that you're planning to use a holster witht he Dolphin Phaser. I prefer the Phaserang, but in all my ideas, I'd definately work in a holster for it on the costume.

Hahaha here's a quick update.
My scratch built mark x is going well.
I've gone a bit tricorder crazy at the moment, buying the Mark X from Stapleton, and I've just bought myself the EFX Mark IX Brent Spiner tricorder with holster and display case.
I'll most likely take the EFX tricorder with me to vegas with the hazard team uniform, as I intend to get the TNG photo with Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner. My hope is that in the photo Frakes will hold the phaser rifle I'll have build, and Spiner will hold the tricorder.
Should make for interesting bragging rights

Does everyone know how perfect and awesome they are? Or would you like photos and my excited ramblings?

OK, here we go, HUGE update on my hazard team uniform.
Finally arrived in Canada, settling in nicely, and had a few props waiting for me when I got here.
As you can see, I got the uniform pattern from roddenberry.com, which I will modify as a Enterprise-E era Hazard Team uniform. I will hopefully then make this pattern available as a nemesis pattern (as one doesn't exist currently) or a hazard team uniform if there is enough interest.
I've also got a plastic cast Phaser Rifle Type 3A, it's heavy, and will only get heavier as I add the strap and electronics. Obviously still a bit rough, so there's work and paint I need to do.
The Mark IX tricorder is my EFX Brent Spiner Mark IX, which I LOVE TO BITS.
It's definately my favourite piece in my collection, and of course I have the holster for it.
My Nemesis commbadge is pictured as is the circuit board for behind it. It chirps when it's pressed.
So that's it thus far, and for all of you who are collecting, my efx tricorder is #281

I've finished the wrist panel LCARS display.
I want this entire uniform to be hero, so that it's as accurate as possible.
In the game, you can frequently see Munro checking his wrist panel. From what I can gather, it has basic vital systems and scanning functions.
This is the reference pic from ingame that I had to go off:
I've always been really into LCARS, so I was really looking forward to making this piece.
I just used my HTC HD2 mobile phone, and made a flash animation with sound.
When I make the wrist cuff, it will slot in and look as one unit. That way if I get phone calls or text messages while I'm wearing the uniform, I can still answer them

Now THAT is cool! I had to watch the video on mute (at work) so I couldn't hear the description, but it looks like it's interactive? I'm designing a custom Trek uniform myself and would love to get my hands on that animation if at all possible. Would it work on other phones or just the HTC HD2 or android models?
