Hey RPFers,

I will be going to the Star Trek exhibit in Detroit and was curious if there was anything that anyone needed pictures of. I don't know if cameras are allowed, but I figure it's time for me to payback other people's generosity for my requests from the Star Wars exhibits. So, please post here and I'll try my best.

They don't allow camera, a lot of the props are replicas, but the lifesize models are original and pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm one of the costumed exhibit guides for the Star Trek: Exhibit in Detroit and unfortunately they do not allow cameras, but if anyone is looking for anything specific, let me know. I was given media credentials for their grand opening and have hundreds of pictures.

Interested in any of the Klingon/Andorian/Vulcan things you might have. Appreciate the offer!

I was in one of the exhibits in Madrid (Spain) and i also took houndreds of pics of boba and yango. You can see them at the galleries in thedentedhelmet.com. You can see very small details of the helmetes, and the Armor, ...and of the whole suit. It is worth to look at it.

Wich one you you have pics of it?

Thanks

Alfredo (Madrid Boba)

Is there a list of places this show will be traveling to?

I wonder if it is headed towards New England area's?

Anyone know?

They haven't given a list of locations yet. There was one a while ago, but after the place was purchased by the new company and split into two, they don't seem to announce the new locations until it's run is almost completed at the current venue (Detroit ends 9/7/2009 and they just announced San Jose this week).

Right now, the attraction is in Philly and Detroit. It finishes Detroit next week and sometime in October it will be ready in San Jose.

I went earlier in the year; my three complaints were:

1) No pictures :(

2) None of the bridge buttons worked, except for two small toggles on the astrogator (I wanted to push some BUTTONS! :D)

3) The barrel of the phaser rifle was BROKEN at the body; it was lain close to it, but you could still see it.

Overall, though, it was still a great experience, and I recommend it.

Oh, and don't forget the simulator ride. :)

I believe they fixed the rifle, but they never addressed the issues that I told them about a week before it opened to the public! The bajoran PADD and Kira's commbadge are upside down

Can you still nab some detail shots of the Stargazer model? Specifically the neck and engine areas?? Maybe even her rear end? It solve ALOT of mysteries.

Thanks for the photos, they're great!

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back before the attraction is over. I haven't been able to work since June because of school :(

Nice about the rifle. :)

As for the Bajoran stuff...still? You'd think at least one person working there would have mentioned it.
