is the top of the original ring oval or round? It's hard to see but it looks like it might be round, just slightly larger than the logo.

the top & bottom are closer to the boss than the sides
which is how a 3d object translates 2 perfect cirlces from the plane that the shank is on

I'd love a silver one -- is it too late to change the font you use -- the screen-used ring has a font that is, for lack of better word, "fatter" -- the letters are wider all around.

The letters/font you use looks thinner and may look more so once you add the blackening. Also, on the original, the words "STARFLEET ACADEMY" don't stretch around the curve as much as yours do.

I realize this is nitpicking, but if you are trying to make it 100% accurate, I thought it was worth pointing out.

the font issues are being addressed
i went ahead and started the casting process on the prototype
so it should be available for photos tomorrow.
silver seems to be overwhelming so i will cast it in silver

I would like a 14.5 (if you can do half-sizes) but any chance I could get it in gold?
I bought one from The Experience years ago, lost it within 2 weeks.

it will blacken all by itself but i can encourage it if you want
gold can be done but at a full ounce or more that the ring weighs whoa nelly!
it would be over a grand
can do half sizes
