Star Fleet 'tool colours'

I was having trouble finding 5oz cans of dupli-color in the correct shades and my local retailers weren't able to help me with a cross reference.

After semi costly testing I was able to find appropriate colours (or as close as my eye can tell) in the new 8oz cans that are available:

CBGM0478 MEDIUM MARBLEHEAD MET.
CBNS0564 DARK GRAY MET.

I'll post my results on my ODN scanner test model (my first scratch build) for others to view shortly.

Thanks to Sulla for posting listing GM-347 as the colour used for PADD's, it gave me a base to start from. Also thanks to Andreas at trekprops.de, his post on the ODN scanner aimed me in the right direction to start doing this.

Here is the first finished product, only slightly incomplete!

There are a few imperfections that I chose to leave on as this wasn't intended to be final product, just the "can I do this?" test.

Once again thanks to Andreas at www.trekprops.de for posting the process on his blog. Also the display graphic I used is an alteration of an ODN scan created by Jose Ralat (I found it posted on www.okudagrams.com).

I hope the follow up will correct the errors on this one.

I plan to make a silicone mold and make a2 piece resin cast to add electronics to. I don't plan on mass producing it but I'd like to learn how to make mold and castings, etc. I have a friend who makes a web series and I'd like to be able to duplicate swords and other props for him (www.spellfury.com)

I think with my next one I'd like to have a back lit display as well as the LED's on the top and face.
