st tos comm question

in anticipation of getting a electronics kit for my comm, I want to hook a led up inside my comm and make the jewels light up. to do this, I would need to drill holes under the jewels.
after that, do I polish off the silver backing of the jewels and just reassemble?

While I haven't done this, that sounds about right. I would start by removing a small circle of the silver backing in the center of the rhinestone.
