ST: First Contact uniform question

Okay, two questions.
First, the jacket, or is it jumpsuit? It seems in some shots Data is wearing a jumpsuit but everybody else (with the exception of the women) are wearing jackets (we're talking about the uniforms with the grey padded tops). Is there in fact two different styles?
Next question, the "cuffs" of the pants. Are they just normal straight cut long the bottom or do they have that wierd "wedge" cut into the front, TNG style?
If anyone has any info on this it woull help me immensley?

As I understand it- flat front, with no slit. Oddly enough no pockets either.

I believe they're all supposed to be jackets... but at times to appear to jump suits.

I don't know the FC uniform style real welll, but I would imagine that it's likely that there are "Class A" 2-piece uniforms for the main characters and "Class B" jumpsuit versions for the rank-and-file.

Most of the cast had jumpsuits, but a few principal actors had two-piece uniforms. Typically Patrick Stewart wore a two-piece, any most everyone else wore a jumpsuit, unless there was a need to remove just the top half.

The FC uniforms had "normal" cuffs on the pants, with no TNG "wedge."

There were actually more than one style, and Data had more than one costume. I can give you screen shots, when my daughter finished watching Monsters Inc.

AFAIK, only Captain Picard and Captain Sisko had 2-part jackets. All other actors wore jumpsuits. The pants cuff are straight cut without the wedge.

I got my custom tailored uniform made in this style, it's much better to wear.
