Thanks for the kind words guys!:thumbsup If you watch me build stuff you
need a lot of patience I am always starting over......and that for the most
part is because of poor planing! thumbsup If you can learn from my mistakes
you can learn a lot that for sure!:lol
So anyway more with the paws and less with the jaws.....
The last mock up before I form this stuff for the last
time .......I hope!
Formed....
On the inside I am cutting all that flash away......I will add in the sides
with sytrene and the back bulkhead also, it's really the best way and it
will look sharper. I was trying to avoid this but it always looks vacuum formed
in those areas if I don't cut it out.
Here is the flash......
Sanding the sides... they end up on a funky angle from cutting away the flash
this will make adding in the sides much cleaner and easier later on.
Same thing underneath .......
Next find the center line so can begin sharpening things up...
I made the pattern longer than it needed to be so I could cut away
the rounded edges. With the thick styrene it tends to roll over the
edges where it has to drop off, and you get a hump.
I can work off the center line and start marking the placement
for the panel lines, and then start scribing them.
