I also started claying in the canopy buck, It's kind of lumpy now
but when it's sanded .....should look good.

Oh, that cockpit section is smooth!

My brother has that /exact/ netbook, even down to the same red. XP though, not 7.

Thanks guys much appreciated.....:thumbsup

I would like the wing pylon to be hollow so i can
run the wiring for engine lighting into the main hull.
It will be plenty strong enough once the two halves
of the wing come together, i have some HIPS thats
just under 4mil.

And some mock up pics....

Wow, that's really coming along! The little one looks so cute piggybacking on the other one. :lol

Thanks guys!:thumbsup

Big forming day.......
cut the risers all out on the band saw.

I wanted to be able to form the neck and
main hull together as two separate halves,
this makes it stronger in 3mil and uses less
plastic and time!

Canopy i formed over this twice......the canopy on
the filming mini is very cool it has a beveled shape
where the clear part would go. Not sure i can pull that off
but I wanted it to be thick at least.

The Y is a big model but the A-wing still holds it's own in SS! :lol

Looks good Michael, nice to see you getting all crazy with the vacformer again.
Yeah, that A wing, still the big boy of the studio fighters, looks sooo nice, you need to finish it, seeing Guys was a pleasure!

Thanks Ray and Lee......I think this thing will grow on you
guys once it stats to take on a little bit of life. There is a lot
of sharpening to do and sanding. By the time the panels lines
are scribed, and the rear trailing supports go on with the vector
cones it's gonna be really cool!:lol:thumbsup I still have to make
the weapons launcher to go under the bottom of the lower cockpit
half. Thanks for looking:thumbsup

I'm really looking forward to seeing how you do this! And I've got to say that the photos of your vacuum form machine on your stove are great! :lol I'd love to know how you built that!

Bought that one but built many!:lol
I did re-make the frame work that holds the
plastic out of metal for this one.

Stay tuned I will make it work one way or another!
