SS X-Wing resin kit from ILM on Ebay?

Hi guys,......just spotted this on my daily visit: http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Studio-Scale...1QQcmdZViewItem

What you think? It's a recasted CC/ Salzo kit with self scratched copyrights....isn't it? I can't say for 100%...because the nose looks a bit shorter than the one from the CC/Salzo kit. More like.....it should be.
But I could be wrong. The kit even looks half assembled and then casted. The main body seems to be a massive resin piece. Aren't the ILM Xwing bodys casted in two halfs? Left and right for standard and top and bottom for FX? Or am I missing the full story of the CC/Salzo cast? Was it made using these molds originally?
Hmmm.....otherwise....the people are going to pay a nice price for this kit. And I bet it is not that sharp as the CC/Salzo kit.
As I say....I could be wrong....but let me know what you guys think.

well his other auctions are "from the original molds"
as he puts it, and is a big red flag for me.

that alien foetus is made many years earlier then AVP.

he does like to paint silver :p

Think about it for about 1 second - why would there be a copywrite on a studio model? Duh - why not just rell the world you're trying to pull a fast one and save yourself the embarrassment...

Read the wording in his post. All it says is he got the castings from a friend and the casting were made at ILM. The way he has worded this his friend doesn't even work at ILM. This definitely makes things look suspicious. And then there is the ICONS copyright. Well, it could be true that someone at ILM has made molds from the ICONS X-wing and is distributing the parts. At least he's honest enough to leave the copyright on the castings.

i need a better pic of the top detail around r2. There was an intentional mistake we put in there to catch recasting. 2 cents

I dropped the guy an email and told him it was obvious he was selling Icons recasts. He wrote back saying he was completely unaware-- He's actually modified his post.

Tim, I worked at Icons when we were developing the x-wing. My prop 'talents' are fabricating and painting not making molds....in fact I kind of stink at it. To do a good job at maiking molds and pulls you have to have a fair amount of specialized equipment to pull the air bubbles out of the resin to get a clean pull. Tedious, vaporous work.....god bless thoes who do it right.
