SS landspeeder from "5-25-77"

I've just received a short e-mail from Wasili. He is alive.

He apologized for what he admits is his terrible communication and says that he is under extreme work-related stress. (So am I. :unsure )

He promised that he will reply to others who have e-mailed him, and that he will post to this thread "tomorrow evening."

I expect that some others must have heard from him by now, too...

I do find it interesting that he can E-mail somebody, but not log into the RPF and tell everybody. But he will soon, kinda weird behavior really.

OK I will email him again about Dave taking my spot in the kit line up.
Thanks

Thanks man... I can't believe I'm heading into something like this knowing the risk........but I just have this fierce desire for this SS piece. The time frame doesn't intimidate me. I'm used to waiting for stuff around these parts. Lack of communication kills more friendships on this board than anything else.

Dave :)

I hope you guys get your kits or your money back. I know your pain, I've been waiting for over four years for oe kit and two years for another. Its depressing thinking that you invested a lot of money for nothing.

I feel for you guys, this guy got your hopes up. Then let everybody down.
Another deadbeat for the hobby. Which is another example for not putting your money down for a promised kit.

It is to bad this hobby has to work like this. In the real world the entrepreneur carries the risk and responsibility. And if he didn't deliver what was promised, he would have to return the money, or face lawsuits, fines and possibly jail time.

The worst part of it is, it starts a downward cycle, that is very hard to get out of. I've seen it really get out of hand. Which is why I think it has to stop.
And you guys could stop it, just stop giving these guys your money(unless it's somebody that you have dealings with before, and trust.). If they want to make a kit badly enough, they will find a way.

Guys,

Since my last post, 2 weeks ago, i have been permanently occupied with my work. Right after my last posting, i received a call from my client with additional "wishes" on top of an already demanding schedule. Me and my team have to take care of a pending deadline (several large, new and refurbished architectural miniatures for a big trade fair due next week), next to the (nearly daily) problems this client throws at us as well. This meant several all-nighters in the past week alone, and one more coming up tomorrow.

Unlike what i thought a couple days ago, i could not respond earlier. The days are very very long, and it has left me with little energy. In 4 days, this stress is over, i can take a small break before the next job comes along, and i can address all the issues regarding the Landspeeder model.

I do apologize for my previous lack of communication, and realize that i fall short in this considerably.

Best,

Wasili

Wasili,
I just paypalled mike his refund for the kit in order to take his place. I also emailed you my contact info. Make sure to switch us on your list. Thanks,

Dave :)

PS, he should contact you directly to tell you my payment arrived.

Thanks for the reply, Wasili... maybe if you can't continue the work, you could send it to Rel, and he could finish? He is well versed with fiberglass, and maybe it wold work well for both of you?

Glad you aren't taking the money and heading for the hills.

I look forward to the next update.
