Spoonflower fabric prints (Doctor Who, Trek, Firefly, etc.)

I meant the name of the doctor, that one was solid gray from what I could tell (And there were a lot of close ups in the little prequel they released)
And there ya go, if the snowmen shirting is done then there's an option available for every single episode of series 7b, that's fantastic

I haven't actually seen good reference for the name of the doctor shirt. The poster for that one has some weird photoshop effect applied to it that made the shirt look kind of magic eye.

And technically that would be every Matt Smith shirt for his whole run.

Some of his prints are copied from the actual fabrics, but the Journey and Hide fabrics I think could use a little improvement. (and yes, Cold War and Journey were the same shirt.) I forgot to mention also that I have the real Hide fabric on it's way to me and I'll be doing that one as well. And Nightmare was actually a pinstriped shirting, which Ewan has available.

Hide was made not just from a scan of the fabric, but from a chunk of the actual shirt Matt wore in the episode. So it's pretty good. :D

Oh. It's one of the lower resolution ones you've got, so I figured it wasn't one of the screen used ones. Well anyway, I still plan to draw it up, because it's handy.

OK, new print uploaded. I was never completely happy with the grosgrain ribbon ID for the pants stripes for Mal Reynolds from Firefly. The number of stripes didn't really match up and high res shots made it look much more like a woven or embroidered fabric edged with bias tape to me. So I made this one:

Mal Reynolds Pants Stripes - risu - Spoonflower

Too bad they don't offer printed strips of fabric. But 2 yards will get you enough fabric for 20 pairs of pants.

Thanks, I do my best. When my new shirts I bought come in, hopefully tomorrow, I'll start working an an overhaul of the S6 striped shirting and the Dream Lord, as I have an original of that one coming in as well.

I'm definitely going to wear mine. Unlike the Doctor shirts, I found that one in my exact size. It is a different color variant, but with the reference I've got and the real shirt in the wrong color the print will be awesome.

I like the medium between the blue and purple, and since I love wearing purple, I'm going to enjoy wearing a shirt made out of this.
Now if only either of the blue bow tie's from series 6 was available....

As I mentioned in my other thread, the swatch came in. Pretty happy with it.

I'm going to make a few changes:
1. Make the diamonds darker on the S6 striped shirt.
2. Make the stripes on the Dream Lord a little lighter and more saturated.
3. Possibly make the background of the Snowmen shirt a little bit more pink. The reference images available for that one are all under yellow lighting, I'm not sure it should be so tan.
4. It doesn't show that well in the photo, but the blue on the Journey print is kind of bright. I might make it slightly darker and less saturated. And the red lines need to be more orange/tan. They're very red right now.

Also, something different for a change. The Joker's bank heist shirt from The Dark Knight:

Bank Heist Shirting - risu - Spoonflower

I'll also have an Aliens colonial marine BDU pattern available soon. Unfortunately they don't offer ripstop, but twill would serve as a second best option. If you see anything that could be improved (not including saturation because nothing can be done about that) please let me know and I'll update the patterns.

Would like to see your results if you're still working this, I did it a while back for a few of us to have BDUs for our armor. I couldn't get the exact size nailed down (our pattern was just a bit larger than the MAA stuff) however, one of the bigger issues we ran into with Spoonflower was the twill fading after the first wash. They really lost a lot of color and contrast.

I haven't really done anything with the camo. There wasn't enough interest to make it worthwhile to draw up the print properly in a higher resolution.

Yes, absolutely. Actually, the shirt she wears in the pilot will hopefully be possible if I can get a friend of a friend who owns an original to let me borrow it. For the time being, the scans I have are from one of Wash's shirts, which is very similar artwork, but not exact. I'm also drawing the purple shirt she wears in most of the promo material from scratch. That one is just a matter of time, it's a slow process. And at some point I might scan the other Wash shirt I have and put that one back together as well.
