Spiderman Noir costume(In the works and pics galore)

Hey, are your goggle custom? I was able to find some aviation goggles on ebay but they don't look quite right...

I'm going to try to base the mask on the middle one here

Josh, well done. When I saw the trailer for the game the first time, this version really stuck with me. You pulled through and created a great look that highly resembles what is played in the game.

As for dark gray sweater, IMO it blends alot better visually.

Chaff, your mask is really coming together nicely. I'm digging the straps on the side. Do you plan on adding the chinstrap? Personally out those three versions you provided, I like the eyelets of the first one. But then it really would detract from the noir feel.

Thanks superDrool. The straps are actually just to hold the goggle straps in place. I was thinking about removing those but I'm afraid I may ruin the cap. As for a chin strap, the cap already has one and for the same reasons as above, I may not modify it to look exactly the same.

As for the eyes, I found these online and I think they might work as they look more "bug eyed" than the ones I have.

I don't want to hijack Josh's thread so PM me if you have any other ideas. I'm welcome to anything really. I'd like to get my hands on Josh's vest though... :)

Josh, Spidey style pilot gogles would be a fun challenge! Just wanna finish up your buckle first ;)! I can't wait to see what you do with this! I think, when you redo the vest, you should have her do it out of a thinner slightly stretch pleather so it can be tighther and move with you. I have a darker spider that I could hook you up with as they don't seem so popular currently and might even redo them in the near future.

Your mask based of the comic is looking great, I also stumbled upon the concepts long ago and was half tempted to do them aswell, but I figured since the game was releasing to go with that model instead. For the stitching what are you planning on using?

Yeah Im thinking of going with stretchier pleather aswell I want the costume to really be tight on me like they illustrate in the game, here is some renders I got ahold of but they are in the artistic black and white.

These are my newest options for colors of turtlenecks, Im thinking of trying my hand at the black and white as seeing as thats what you see the character as in most of the game

I don't know. This is my first time attempting anything like this. I was trying to get ideas for all this when I stumbled on this thread. So I guess the question would be, how did YOU do the stitching? lol
I don't want copy you or anyone but I'd like for this to look reasonable and not just something I bought pieces of and put together... although that's kind of how Spidey did it I suppose.

Anything I do anyone else can use, lol I dont own any techniques or any such rubish so have at it, I used wax thread because it had a really good texture, it was tough and was thick so it could show up and be bold. I bought a matching wax needle, all of this can be found at any leather shop.
this is the place where I got mine
Tandy Leather Factory - Tejas Waxed Thread Black 4 oz
Its called Tejas wax thread. if you do undergo this process dont skimp on the needle, one person I know used scissors and it ended up ripping his mask apart when he pulled it over his head because of the stretch.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I hope other noir undertakers will take what I have learned and use it

Josh, do you want a thinner, smooth emblem to match the artwork?

Actually to be quite honest, i had so many compliments and inquires about the emblem at comic con, I love the rendition you did, it seems more noir like in my opinion, the director of the game also though so aswell, so I'm going to keep it

Man, that "ripping apart" thing is what scares me! I'm going to order the thread and see if a friend of mine can help with it. She used to make renaissance outfits so maybe she's familiar with it.

And I just got some new goggles and the dark brown sweater man!

I strongly believe a dark heather gray for color would do the trick for the turtleneck, as it offsets and compliments the rest of the black outfit.
