Spiderman Muscle suit! (looking for pictures)

Seeing as how we're dedicated to all of that intricate detail, I find it difficult to remind myself that Joe Schmo Moviegoer doesn't even know the Spidey suit was different in each film, or that Kirk's wrist braids changed each season, or that Vader was sporting a different saber in each flick.

From what i can tell even the spidey muscle suit changed each film.:eek

Well, I think the film itself killed a lot of the interest in the behind-the-scenes stuff. I honestly don't know anyone (aside from small children) who thought it was a decent movie.

What I do know, however, is that I no longer want a movie-styled costume because of that trainwreck. Maybe the (inevitable) fourth film will rectify the situation. You know, the "everyone hates Spider-Man" situation.

I think the spidey costume was the only thing they got right in all 3 films....
But i felt spidey was just way to bulky for "spider-man" as i remember him maybe the muscle suit played a part in this?. Every time i see spiderman in the film i think "Hmmmmmm thats what i think Captain America would look like in the spidey suit"

While I prefer the scrawny teenager look in both aesthetics and concept, it's easy to see why most of the viewing audience would be offput by that. These are the same people who think Batman looks weird when he's not completely black and wrapped in foam latex, and that Jackie Chan's best movies are when he's teamed up with an American comedian and they throw constant jabs at his nation of origin. :rolleyes

Well, all in all I thought that Spidey 1 was the best film of the three... The suit was perfect, tobey was in good shape, and Kirsten was seen minimally. (And in scenes like... the alley scene! o.o) Alot of people still don't like the Green Goblin suit, but "Norman" just did the character too awesomely.

The muscle suit did exactly what it was supposed to... bring out the musculature that was already on tobey. Spidey's size looked convincing based on tobey's size.

Spidey 3, was the worst. The only thing I liked about S3 were the suits themselves, (red/blue, black, venom). But I feel like everything else failed.
There was no chemistry in the entire movie for me...
But the muscle suit was hard not to notice, especially as Tobey had fallen so much out of shape by the 3rd installment. Tobey looked small or average in every respect. Where-as, the spidey suits made him look like a body-builder. The continuity was way off there...

Thats a good point. Heres a pic i dug up i'm not sure if it was a sculpt used for the Venom suit or for spidey? it looks like the mask is sporting Spidey lenses

Looks like one of the images from the making of spidey 3 book...
I didn't really enjoy the movie enough to want to lay down $30 to buy it,

So, I don't remember in what reference they were talking about the picture, but it definitely looks like the spiderman muscle suit.
It mostly looks like they beefed up his pecs, lats, and shoulders.

I hear you got mine for free still can't bring myself to watch the whole film:lol
I wasn't 100% sure if it was for spidey or venom because the look of it was so MAXED out so to speak. It dose share a very similar design to the Spidey 2 muscle suit just taken to the next level.
BTW the pic was not from the making of spidey3 book but if it has pic's of that sculpt i should check it out!!

Yeah dude, you make a great spiderman! You're lean, so you can pull him off ;)

the only time it's hard to pull off spiderman is if someone has a lot of "girth" so to speak <_<;

I think I might run by Borders and see if they still have that book. If I'm lucky they'll be having a sale or something :D I def. remember seeing pictures of the muscle suit sculpts and concepts symbiote stuff... it's a cool book for a poor film

I wish i was in your shape man! If you find a copy take some scans of the face shell and lenses as well as the muslce suits.. I want to try my hand at spidey stuff at some point. At the moment i am trying to screen cap spidey 2 & 3 from blu-ray it's a bigger pain then i ever thought:cry720P & 1080 take up a TON of space:eek

Tsuyosa is built like the movie Spidey, GundamZeppelin like the comic Spidey. No need for either of you to have any probs with that. I'm 5'4". I will probably (no joke) end up doing a Spider-Girl outfit first because I can't pull off Spider-Man. Consider yourselves lucky.
