Spider-Man: Far From Home (Post-release)

I watched the trailer several times and it occured to me that Spider-man's Spider-sense never went off when Nick Fury started to speak from behind the door.Howcome?

I thought it was because he doesn't really have it, I think it just started showing in IW which means perhaps it's still developing or it isn't reliable. This is mysterio first encounter with him in this movie, how would he know about a power that even new to it's user much less come up with a way to suppress it?

As soon as he was bitten by the spider,he got his powers.Learning to use them is a matter of time,but the spider-sense should always be present because he got it from the start.All that's left for him is the interpretation of this signal and acting upon it,but he didn't.Made me wonder...

This is mysterio first encounter with him in this movie, how would he know about a power that even new to it's user much less come up with a way to suppress it?

That's the question,isn't it? Mysterio is all about deceit,so who knows where he got his info.Maybe from Nick,if indeed they go way back as was suggested...

Mysterio was a stunt man / special effects master guy for studios. If he was so good I could see Nick fury using him and his team to cover up accidents, out of this world visitors and mutant outbreaks. Best way to keep the world in check is to make them think everything is cool. Then the avengers or shield can deal with the issue before it gets out of hand. So he might of had access to stark, shield and avengers files & footage.

Also we are getting sandman, hydro man ( not your weed dealer or mega man guy) and molten man. They hint at all of them on plates n crap with the numbers during the battles of each one. Also wouldn’t be surprised if Kraven & scorpion shows up as well...maybe end credits as a jail break along with the vulture. The Tinkerer was never caught...so he will bring in some fancy weapon suits. Can open walls with those 4 cube thingy from homecoming.


I still want my crazy Green Goblin! With the whole gang we can have a Sinster Six fun time.

Yeah, even though they've already done Green Goblin to death, they have never even remotely gotten him close to right. Marvel could do it right.

Still love Willem Defoe as Green Goblin. Might have been way off base from comic book canon, but he still had a great look.

William Defoe was a perfect choice for Norman Osborn. Too bad they used him a crappy movie and suit. Such a waste of good talent. Having James Franco as Harry was another bad choice. Ugh I hated those movies.

Bring in Rufus Sewell as Norman when ever they pull the Osborn family into the movies. Oh and let Harry be played by Alex Hogh Anderson ( viking’s Ivar) since he plays crazy very well.

I will agree Defoe was well cast as Norman, they just got the Goblin all wrong. I even thought Franco was a good casting choice for Harry.

I didn't mind Franco as Harry. I did not like the kid they cast as Harry in the Andrew Garfield reboot.

Honestly, Spidey has such a good rogues gallery, I'd rather not see them do Green Goblin again. Norman Osborn, maybe, but just make him the billionaire industrialist for now. Kind of the antithesis of Stark, but an actual competition, not like Justin Hammer of Iron Man 2. Use Oscorp to tie in Otto Octavius, and possibly Venom.

Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, and now Mysterio (and possibly Sandman?) have been introduced or teased.

Spidey has been a very successful franchise, and has so much potential under Marvel, even with Sony still technically owning the rights. I hope they let the goblins simmer on the back burner for awhile, let some of the other villains play.

Prop wise, I have the dagger Harry had when he was going to kill Spiderman in Spiderman 2. It's just a United Cutlery Knights Dagger. I got mine 20 years ago in a shop on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. So I was pretty excited when I saw it on screen.

I have no problem leaving the Osborn’s family out of the movie to a certain point. The company of Oscorp needs to be in there tho. Oscorp has its fingers in everything of the spidy world. I agree that they could be the anti stark company. Just hint or show them getting involved in the movie. As I said earlier about the Tinkerer doing a prison break. Have him Woking for Norman and Oscorp. Don’t even to say the names. Just maybe have tinkerer say something about his new business partner being a little green with envy over stark getting all his government contracts n crap. So he would like to help out you fellows with some tech of his own.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Beetle added to the MCU.After all,we have already been introduced to the Tinkerer,who in the comics used stolen Iron Man tech to make the Beetle's flightsuit.And with Hydro Man and the like,they could team up as The Deadly Foes of Spider-man (see comic Limited Series).Just my personal wish that is

I guess there are no consequences of dusted people being pulled 5 years into the future and the survivors having to accept their dead loved ones are now alive again and 5 years younger. We see nearly the whole class from Homecoming... what? Did they all get snapped? This movies makes so much more sense as a prequel to Avengers Infinity War, than after.

This looks really good! The fact that “multiverse” was used, opens up so many possibilities!!

A guy I work with today said “Mysterio is a master of illusions, it wouldn’t surprise me if the ‘multiverse’ is just a ruse he created to disguise the fact he’s the villain.”

I hadn’t thought of that, but it kinda makes sense...and would be a perfect way to throw fans off.

We see a whole class, are they all the exact same actors from Homecoming, or are just Peter's circle of acquaintances the same (convenient, but not probability breaking)? I don't see anything preventing half the kids from having aged normally into the class over 5 years (half of his original class being in college now).

I got in a heated argument with my coworker today about this being AFTER End Game...

He just doesn't see that the world would be that much different post snap and un-snap.

I'm like "Do you have any idea how the worlds governments, religions, infrastructures would be in complete chaos if half the people disappeared. The chaos in the streets... forget that when everyone comes back they'll be all 'who's in my house?!'"

Yeah we'll just go right to a school vacation in Europe, which I'm sure would be right back to touristy destination...

They have to address all this... it's too weird not to.
