SPFX stole my money! - Restored with update in post #45

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

Have you gotten your stuff, or at least a working tracking number yet?

nothing......of nothing......of nothing......believe me I hope to come to the U.S. soon, i have the real spfx address, I want to say "hello i'am Roby from Italy give me my money!!!!"
:angry:angry:angry

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

That's sad to hear. You should let PayPal know. Sure, you can't get a refund from them, but you raise alarms regarding a user who's using their service for thievery.

Also, if you got the address, contact the local law enforcement in that area regarding the issue.

Start as much **** as you can to get your money back.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

Yup, I would go the law enforcement route before even contacting Phil again. Then, once you have started the Wheels of Justice, contact him again and let him know what you have done.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

Jez should add a big WARNING sign on StarWarsHelmets.com regarding these bad sellers. I know his site is unbiased regarding helmet makers... but most people who seek out helmets often stumble upon his site before deciding to buy.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

With so many complaints against specific folks, that's a good idea. To think people go onto the site and go "Hey, that looks nice, that's who I'm ordering it from." without any knowledge or hint at the amount of non delivered items.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

Well, to my knowledge SPFX isn't represented at all on Jez's site, but he's represented elsehwere on his own pages scattered all over the web and on eBay. Having a warning on StarWarsHelmets against certain sellers could be a good idea, but of course, may work against the purpose of the site to stay unbiased and just a resource of what's out there.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

Well, it's not biased against the helmet. That can still be reviewed independently of the seller's business practices. Separate reviews for helmets and sellers would be good.

Re: SPFX details

How about just helping him out instead, Joe?

I believe his real name is Phil Snavely. His last address was in Clovis, California.

Eh, it is just "Oh, go find the info here" type thing that got to me.

:rolleyes Jeez how awful of me to try to help.

Anyway weird pointless posts aside...

@ The OP I tried to find the thread but couldn't. Toomuchgarlic (member here) should be able to help, I seem to remember a liaison and lists of orders that had not been satisfied. There is a lot of history of SPFX's bad deals around. Good luck.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

wow, I almost goofed the other day....
A dude owed me some $$...was having trouble getting cash.
He had credit and was wanting to settle up - so I pointed him to one of this guys eBay auctions for a ANH Vader helmet and armor.
His eBay feedback only has one ding; and that is for one sale that took an extra week to arrive; buyer neg'ed him.
I searched here for SPFX and didn't see any reds flags...

Needless to say, my friend came up with the cash afterall and he didn't take the offer of buying that stuff for me.

I hope it works out for you bro.

That was me that left the negative. From the time I bought the helmet to when I actually received it was about 50 days. His delivery times give him around 20 day lead time so the neg wasn't left haphazardly.

Also for anyone thinking of buying from this guy let me tell you he's a psycho and I would recommend staying away. I have a long list of emails where Jason (another false name he gave me) said it was going out in the mail anytime now. Once 45 days hit I filed a Paypal dispute and then he started with the barrage of threats both personal and legal (which had no bearing) and harassing emails.

Re: SPFX.....stole my money

this reminds me of when i joined tom savini's fan club. it was way bck in 2003.......and i got transferred to another "associate" to help handle the deal. it was only $20 but the principal of the matter is that u scammed someone then got pissed at them for continually asking about your own money and where your fan club merch was.

went thru pay pal and i never got anything back because of the short window u have to flag the seller. so basically pay pal helps people scam. terrible people everywhere.
