SPAS 12 Cage question

Has anyone ever tried to replicate the SPAS 12 cage in sheet metal?

It seems like this would a nice item to have available to people looking to build a pulse rifle.

The real ones seem to be scarce or expensive. A steel replica would be a nicve option.

I just don't think you could make them for less money. I had the same thought as you, and discovered that You would need a die to stamp them out, and cut all the holes. Now with something like that you could probably do it, but they would still be quite expensive to cover your investment. A guy on the alien legacy forum made one from sheet metal by hand you might want to look at.

Would a rubber replica be something that would be of interest or do you need it to be hollow?
