Spacetrooper Backpack- Found !! New pics added

As accurate as 5 seconds movie time, enhanced screen grabs and a little digging around in books/behind the scenes shots can get yeah :)

Great costume that looks pretty darn accurate given the scarce info available.

Kudos!

Freakin outstanding...just think...make some bucks...vac some kits...youd be rollin large as the king of the spacetrooper packs :)

Here's my idea of what they lok like in terms of scale, ratio and position on back.

Hope you like them. Let me know your thoughts....if they're nice lol

I'm kind of lost on this thread. Your trooper space pack looks really awesome. Were "AMT Fruehauf Tanker Trailer" parts used at all? Because the title of the thread says the parts were FOUND, but I'm kinda of lost as to where the connection was made. Just wanted some clarification. If the Fruehauf tanker trailer parts weren't used it's a very awesome pack nevertheless.

I think his version looks awesome, but unless the vertical tanks are replaced with the kit tanks it's not as accurate as it could be.

For the 5 seconds of film time they got, that replica space pack is a great representation.

I love this thread! Great findings, anyway damn fine ressult. :):thumbsup

BTW. Saw you at Celebration Europe. I was the damn dirty trooper.

Many thanks for the comments guys :)

I may form some kits yes as I have all the parts here
If I do they'll be on the FISD for all the TK boys n girls there.

NB* the fraunhoff bottles were used

I spoke to and tracked down the toy sculptor and he confirmed he was told the tanker was used.

I have a cast of that backpack - it was a gift from the pattern maker, from my last trip to Japan. He made a lot of the stuff for Marmit! I didn't see one painted, so thanks for the link!
:cool

Without going back through this entire thread to see if its been discussed already..I was watching Jedi yesterday and the Boush tanks seem to be a reuse of the Spacetrooperbackback. So, if we have some good shots of teh Boush costume we should have a cleare idea of what the backpack looked like (?)'
It seems pretty obvious that the Marmit is an idealized spec version and not very accurate.

Marmit has always impressed me with their details. Moffeaton, can you ask the pattern maker where he got the reference shots for the spacepack? This is getting interesting!
