Space 1999 Lanch Pad for the 12" or the 11" Eagles.

Thanks, now I understand what the blocks are for.

Looking the rightmost pic in post 80, the spacing of the lights holes on the sides of the cross are closer than the spacing at the bottom of the cross and it appears the length of the side cross is shorter than the width of the bottom cross when the should be equal size. Comparing it to the Starlog blueprint and pics, it looks the L and W are supposed to be equal (and the light spacing).

I see a slight modification will be needing done here.

This is where you need to pick & choose your battles, I layed out the drill outs perfect the first time, however the circle is semi olipticial which changes the overall measurment across the cross sections. If you have bluprints than you could scratch build the model to your own specifications. Randy

Started painting the lower sub basement area, pretty happy with where its going... Based on James Smalls launch pad, I hope it turns out as good as his build... More to come, thanks for looking... Randy

Looking good. Just received my kit and I have to say on first look, the casting is really clean and crisp.

Can't wait to see what else you will do with this.

I received my kit as well....inspected, photographed each piece and done a dry run building it ( with tape) twice. (I might do another dry run). :)
I'm waiting on the final pieces before I soak and clean the pieces.

This is a very nice kit - no complaints at all - it's going to make an awesome Launch Pad

That second pic of the blue and green vertical lines is pretty cool :) Will be watching your paint job Randy :)

That looks absolutely gorgeous.

I wish I had the space to display something that big.

Cheers
Eddie

I think it will fit a 4 x 4 table. Just screw one side and hinge it on the wall so it can be in the closed or open position. (you'll have to figure your best way of leaving it open, either legs or folding arms/legs to keep it up).

Got the model platform textured and ready for mount up. Will be wiring the cross sections over the weekend...

OK, wire, leds, circuit boards in place and tested...
40' of wire, 55 leds, 3 circuit boards and over 275 solder joints and its ready for mounting on the platfrom...
