Watching this on DVD today. Love all the in-jokes / references.

Thought this had some nice guns, space suits and matte paintings.

Which begs the question: Does anyone here have anything from Soldier?

Wow, I always figured I was the one person who saw that movie.:lol

Still, I do need to get the DVD, I thought it was a fun flick. I don't even remember most of the props, so I will be curious to see if folks have anything.

Some of the other metal helmets were reused in the Firefly pilot by the Alliance.

One of the Soldier rifles was used in Star Trek Enterprise by the "Nazi's".

Jaynes Serenity rifle was a Soldier rifle at one time.

The "bomb" in National Treasure is actualy a grenade from Soldier.

I have a "color test" helmet that I got years back that's pretty cool.

I'll see if I can dig up some pics.

My apologies for resurrecting an old thread. I didn't want to start another one only to be redirected to this one sometime later. Plus, this one seemed to have died off without any updates.

I just got through watching Soldier (it's been on the Encore channels a lot lately) and I'm really jonesing for one of the rifles or any of the other weapons. Thinking of maybe building the rifle from screen caps and artist interpretation.

I know several of them are current-production (some discontinued) rifles, which you can pick up in airsoft form. The Heckler & Koch Mk. 23 SOCOM, Steyr TMP (or was it the SPP?), etc. I swear, it looks like part of the rifle comes from a Spas 12, but I can't say for sure. Truthfully, a lot of the front looks like the buisness end of the Pulse Rifle grenade launcher. I'm probably wrong, though.

Any reference photos out there? Any behind-the-scenes or prop department photos?

Some info here at the Internet Movie Firearms Database:

The base rifle was a Century Arms AK-47 bullpup:

The front end indeed looks like a SPAS12 cage, however I believe it was custom made for the film based on the look of a SPAS12, and not an actual cage.

I like this movie too by the way- unfortunately it gets a bit long during the colonist scenes (before the big battle).

There were variations of the rifles for Soldier. I believe all the add on parts were custom machined. If memory serves, this one would become Jayne's Serenity rifle.

Thanks for the help, guys! I didn't even know the rifle was a bullpup until just now! :D Going by what I've been reading on the IMFDB page, it looks like both standard AK mags and one hundred round drum mags were used.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering building one of these and I'll keep you all updated on the progress. No idea on how to go about it, but thanks to everyone's help, I have a good idea on where to start. I now know exactly what type of rifle and sight were used and thanks to y'all, I have the perfects pictures to go by.

That's a movie I haven't seen in a while, but really enjoyed it when I first rented it years ago. I need to grab a copy of it.

Looks like C-MORE red dot on the gun
It is, indeed, sir. The article at IMFDB said it was, so I checked the C-MORE site to confirm it. Sure 'nuff, it is.

You can even see their embossed logo in this picture.

Going by the C-MORE's description on their web site, it looks like either the Railway or Tactical series was used, as the Railway seems to be the only one designed for flat-top AR15/M4/M16-style rifles (as seen during SGT. Todd's training scenes).

The mount for the AK Bullpup rifles used throughout the rest of the film looks like a Weaver rail and could very well be a pistol mount. No idea, really, as I'm not too familiar with C-MORE. I think it may be the ATRW, but to be honest, it could be any one of them. They all kinda look alike, though, so I don't think it would matter, I guess.

It's funny - I have that exact same screencap :lol

I'll post some in a minute. Hopefully I chose them well and you guys can nail down some more details.

I was one of the few that also liked this Movie, and I Sculpted the Helmets for the Film!

Unfortunately I have yet to get a copy of any of my Helmets!
