So was the MR Fett Blaster Any Good?

I´m still on the fence wether to get one or not.
I have a bronze Webley with wooden stock and Kenny barrel...but I´d really like to tackle a repaint of the MR.

Problem is that they´re far too pricey here in Germany and s&h from the states is "surreal" :unsure

So what's stopping you from making an Empire version and save the Jedi version for a cast piece?! I'm assuming the bronze finish is very nice as it is.

The piece is well made and looks great on display, IMHO. The only small gripe that I have is the paint job.

I just picked up a signed version for £180...boxed...it looks great in its case and on display...well worth it at that price!!:thumbsup

Yeah I think all the complaints I saw about the blaster was the paint job. I had the chance to handle one and I didn't think it was THAT bad. But then I'm not a die hard fan that can get you the exact placement of grips on a saber. :) But, the paint job, even for me, left a little to be desired.

that's the same setup i have. i do need to reshape the stock a little on mine. it's angled wrong at the rear.

have you already put it together? if not, singleseat's suggestion of going ESB with the bronze webley could work.

if you have assembled, then you'd have sawed off the barrel of the webley, so no going back :)

Nothing´s stopping me...

I already have a fully built ROTJ EE-3 based on a -partial- bronze webley AND a fully built ESB EE-3, also based on a bronze webley.

Anyway, I like the clean assembly of the MR version and would love to try reworking one.

Lambotour...PM´d you.

Got mine yesterday (sans plaque & paperwork) from Redford Films on eBay.
(under $300 shipped)

Here's the info for eBay:

Seller: redford-films

or their on-line store:

www.redfordfilms.com

Didn't realize it was so fraking big (3/4 the length of a Lewis gun :eek )

The display case is so large I use it as a coffee table.

The weight is impressive: you could knock someone senseless with this.
Barrel is cold to the touch (where there isn't any t-track).

Super-accurate blaster:thumbsup
Just needs a better paintjob.
BUT the paintjob will meet the 6 foot rule (appears accurate at a distance of 6 feet). Closeup, it needs a better paintjob.

Overall: very happy and a great replica!

I keep seeing these on eBay but they're always the Signature Edition and I'm afraid I have no interest in that. :unsure

Was there actually a non-signature release too?
