Good progress on the "Martians Attack SNG" puppet. I got all the mechanics finalized on the head. All cable laid in and function. I was able to glue with silicon the different movement points of the under skull to the skin. However the surfaces were rough enough to stick to the skin just enough to move the lips and open and close the jaw or mouth just with friction. As was so pleased because when glued it will only move that much better.
I got the teeth and mouth finished complete with a tong. Next up is to attack the skim to the under skull and close it up. Can't wait.
These two pictures show the difference between neutral and the open mouth and lips moving.

I made this film starting back in 2008. The original story was written by me and the wonderful screen play by Gillian Neill. She worked so hard on this movie with me and our family friends. We used only consumer cameras.
All the CGI and composites I did as well as the editing. The movie was finished about 2010. Soon after that Gilly started her battle with cancer and I forgot all about the film. She loved it so much and it was one of the last creative projects she did. I thought it was high time that I released it for free to the public to enjoy. She would have wanted this.
Another version will come out later this year with a dedication to her.
Few people watched this movie. Despite all the trailers and postings about what Foo fighters actually are people believed it had something to do with a band and not UFOs.
The term
foo fighter was used by
Allied aircraft pilots in
World War II to describe various
UFOs or mysterious aerial
phenomena seen in the skies over both the
European and
Pacific theaters of operations. Look it up on Google. It has nothing to do with a band and if you know your history you will know this is true.
Enjoy the film and remember Gilly as the talented and gifted writer she was and that few of you are even aware of. She put in a lot of time with me in the film industry and was a talented professional in every respect.
Enjoy.
Thanks to my friend Jeff McCan for hosting this on his server.
