SNG studios Daily video

Thanks guys! Here is the latest.

Finally back to the Enterprise. I had it in my mind all day yesterday making the interior graphics in Photoshop off scanned drawings made to fit the rooms exactly. It worked perfectly and I did a people test too. Although the image I used was poor and from the net it proved it would work to me.
Next I put on the uniform and take a head to toe picture of me against green screen. At high resolution it should reduce well to the small size and still have enough detail to recognize it as me. It was bothering me that the 3D printing was so nebulous that it was hard to recognize the individual.
I also made chairs and tables. Even the floor rugs and once installed you can see it close up as well as at a distance. The pictures are OK but do it justice. You will just have to brave it and watch the selfie that is about to be loaded to really learn how it was done and what it really looks like.
I will have to clean the window edges more it doesn’t really show in person but under the camera so close up it does.
More tomorrow and we have Uncle Ted back tomorrow and we get to see what he’s working on.

Get this all to fit in there and Jim you know meant losing even more AFT support. I'm lost everything right up to where the nacelles plug in. But the AFT hull is very strong so I don't see a problem.
Tomorrow I'll get the observation corridors that look over the bay in and lighted. There's a few more over hangs to add with windows but I should be able to finish that off tomorrow.
It's iffy at best to get the doors to open and close. This was a TV show model and in the real world it will be a stretch. There simply isn't the room. Maybe a winch servo. We'll see and I will try but I'm pretty sure it will be a no go. Maybe not.
More tomorrow.
And for those of you just tuning in it is the same model as in the picture above at the head of my page. That's our show room at the studio. This model is being made from my molds I made 3 years ago off my scratch build. http://sneillfx.net/page5
We are excepting contributions toward this build since we are building it for a non-profit museum, The Museum of Science Fiction.
You can have your name on the dedication plague and if you contribute 100 or more a small cut out photgraphic figure of you on the ship.http://www.steveneillsgarage.com/donations66-tos-museum-of-…
Thanks so much to all of you that have contributed so far.

Balsa fill, 1 oz fiber glass cloth and two part poly urethane topped with Evercoat metal glaze and we have the beginnings of the a Cooper formula one car from the 60's.
In addition Eliot Brown's lovely PE brass work of the Enterprises Bridge to be, small people, chairs, tables and two fold it up shuttles. I will start on all of this in the morning. This bridge will be fully lighted and so will the shuttles.
Eliot's instructions are a work of art in of themselves. Eliot thanks so much for this great contribution to the MOSF Enterprise build.

More fun with the bridge today. Got the sub floor built which was a real treat of many little riser bulkheads and sanctions to attach the railings to. Only managed to get one railing on before it became the end of the day. Eliot's brilliant design of PE parts for this bridge is working out so well. Tomorrow I'm going to build the helm and add some more panels but the hardest part of building it I think is behind me.
Did some more shaping and sanding on the slot car body form but forgot to take pictures. tomorrow it gets the red putty and primer.
Please watch our shoe "The SNG Experience" which is loading now and explains and answers all your questions that are not answered by the pictures. wink emoticon

I had another mixed day. We are shooting tomorrow the last of "Martians Attack SNG". Lots of scenes with “Uncle Ted”.
Now I can finish the film. What will be left are lots more effects shots but I have that covered. Within the next month I should finish and move on to "Reach" the next film.
So I worked on orders I got this week for a Cochran and a Spock Bust. I have lowered the price on the Cochran statue as they are unsigned and if you want it signed I’m sure if you contact Doug he will be happy to sign them. I use to make trips into town to see Doug and get things signed but that has become increasingly difficult with both our busy schedules not allowing us to sync up very often.
The Spock busts are on a resin marble looking base now and only offered in bronze. If you want either one of these items from our store go to our website. The Cochran statue is now 600 plus shipping. We appreciate very much Doug allowing us to make these from his original screen used piece.
I also did some more work on the slot car body that can be seen in tonight’s Seflie video I’m about to post.
And I have started painting again. Those of you that watch the show know about this but tonight I’m posting the in progress painting called “Reach”. There is still a lot to do. I haven’t added all the stars and the Milky Way. Lots more detail to come on the astronaut. The one thing I got wrong and will change this week is the location of the Moon. Guess I was tried but of course you guys know where it should be located and at the appropriate angle. Right? ;) I will be doing a lot more space paintings from now on, by hand, in acrylic and now airbrushes used. And some of them will be for sale. Mary is painting too and you can see here work in tonight’s video seflie.
More tomorrow and another seflie from our last live action shoot. Thanks for all your support for our studio. We will be making lots of programming and more Sc—Fi space movies to come and your constant support is what makes it happen.

As usual the iPhone over exposes the panels and lights they arn't this bright. Tomorrow I'll have it all tiddied up and take some pics with the Nikon. But this will give you an idea. It's just a test fit. And yes I removed the dome because the iPhone tends to focus on the dome and not through it. The dome looks fine in person.
