Smallville Green Arrow WIP

Hey folks..
Long time no post, been super busy and I haven't shared a lot of what I'm working on at the moment but I thought I'd pop on here quickly between breaths to share a little teaser of one of the things in my hands at the moment.
I have a few things I'm working on at the same time so that everyone will get their work so no one is being pushed aside.
So, today is a very small taste of a leather copy of the Smallville Green Arrow costume.
A lot of custom dyeing has been done to match the promo shots and screen shots that we have.

Images have been color corrected to reflect the appropriate shading instead of the overabundance of flash originally shown.

Now back to work before I get a butt kicking :eek

Thank you for the comment.
First I'll point out I should have color corrected my images as they were taken with the flash on but the color of the dye in person is close to the images from the promotional images, and screen caps that we have on hand.
I'm not sure what you are talking about pertaining to 'sharper' but the green in that image does not appear correct as it seems that it has been desaturated and the blacks aren't actually black in that picture you're showing. I puzzled over that one for quite a while as well until I saw the suit in correct lighting and in the promo shots.

the green needs to be..."sharper" like this image: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b67/Dark...088/arrow-9.jpg

but, looking good

Here's a good color photo...

Sorry, I should have made myself more clear. I like your colors fine. By sharper I meant the actual edges, the just look too limp, for lack of a better word. Again, sorry for the miscommunication, but it really does look great so far. Keep us all posted on progress

Alright, consider me momentarily ditzy, I mistook your comment in regards to the color :D
I see what you mean about the edges, I don't think mine are limp...that just sounds wrong :lol but I agree I will alter the pattern to be sharper at the edges.
No worries, I think I misunderstood and I thank you for the comment.

looking good so far. I am working on this suit as well and your colors look good.
I have researched the hell out of this thing since the first pic of the suit was revealed.
I think it is coming along very well. Only suggustion would be that the "arrowettes" look to be
a bit too straight. There should be more of a curve to them. You do great work though so I
most assuradly look forward to seeing more progress on this costume.

The curves have already been noted and I'm sure you realize working with leather is a bear, but thank you for the compliment.
We've also done a great deal of research as well, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

SD has totally remade the front and back of the vest, based on comments made and some nifty photo references I scaled up with my sizing template. She should have more pictures for you after she gets the next Wrath Of Khan jacket done.

Yea his was a custom suit based on Smallville and the comics, a mixed media deal. Very Nice, but not what Shadow Dutchess is going for. I look forward to any updates here.

Well, I appreciate that people are looking forward to the updates.
As GM has kindly reiterated I've redone the vest to match the screen version even better than previously shown (thanks to the comments) and I'm hoping to get some more photos off soon to share.
Doing this and working on all the other items at the same time certainly bites into any leisure time and I tell you I am tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired.
:)
