That one would have to be life sized along side R2 and R5 (with a bad motivator, no less). And... we'd need some really good balanced mechanisms or.... a really small dude inside...lol. I wonder how big that actor was? Did Kenny Baker do that one too? Who played GONK?

Gotta say that I Hope Ketzer's build is offered either as a kit (preferred) or SS my MR.

Nice job, Tim.
[/b]
Agreed. I think I would buy one if MR put Ketzer's build out.

Thanks guys. But I am not very happy with my Slave 1s the way they are right now.

I have already built a MUCH better 3d model that I need to have milled and vacuformed. I have all the kit parts sitting here in a box (for several years, actually).
I just need to find time to build a new Slave 1.

No rush Tim,... my plate is full anyway at the moment. However,.. If you do decide to make it available,.. I would be interested in the future.

You do amazing work man.

Is your Reliant finished?

Slave 1 would have to be ESB. I have little interest in the new films. Sorry guys...but after a few years, they've settled in and they're just not as fun to me. They like the adventure and friendship of the OT. I do like the Republic Gunship though.

Sandcrawler...hmm...didn't think of that. That would be cool.

I still haven't ordered my Falcon yet...what was that about $100 off.

I find myself thinking about the Sandcrawler more and more. Did the original model actually move?

Stormy,.. for some reason I have been able to retain my love for all that is sci fi,.. even the cheesy stuff. I think it is because I always viewed things from just a plain entertainment factor instead of how real to life it could be. Sometimes bad turns out good to me. :eek I am a strange bird I guess. :confused :p

I wonder how many Falcons are left?

It sure did.

That scale looks extremely do-able.

It has now entered my "future intent" commission list. The current list MUST be completed FIRST. :eek

Thanks for the pics Richard... get to know them well... it may be you, Bob or both of you doing this project in the future. :love

As much as I hate doing it, I have to disagree with Barry. While the walker is without a doubt very cool and super recognizable I have to dispute its "most iconic" status. Without a doubt the most "Iconic" has to be the ANH SD from the opening shot that ship had us "hooked" into the entire story ... 30 years later even. The runner could have had the effect but it flashed past too fast ;)... the long lingering overhead... that's what made it an icon... :D the fact that TESB and ROTJ also opened with an SD shot isn't a coincidence...

Second would have to be the death star. The simple round ball that it is...

I think I could agree it was the most iconic vehicle from TESB, although I think a good case could be made for the Executor.

In case nobody noticed this replay also happens to double as a wish list of "iconic" ships I'd like to see :D

SD ANH, SD ESB, Death Star, Executor

I do think that SS scale on these would be space prohibitive for me though, I'd gladly put out the cash for these subjects, but I couldn't afford to build the "west wing" onto my house to display them properly ;)

LOLOL... I wish I could convey how funny that statement is to being true. :lol

I agree with your post. Good points.

I am curious,.. what do you think the max size would be, for those on your wish list, that would be acceptable in the display space you would place them in? What size would you like to see them done in?

Don't get me wrong,.. I am not suggesting by any means that they will be done,.. just curious as to what would be the size requested.

It's a great list.

I should have qualified that by saying from ESB. I like the debate on what you folks want to own. It's always good to listen to collector's opinions, so no worries about voicing different views to mine :D

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the SD from ANH but that, like the MF, would have been too complex to attempt as a first Studio Scale. That's not to say it won't happen in the future. I personally would love to see MR release a replica of the original 3 footer SD, however the Falcon is so large where will folks who don't live in mansions be able to put one?
