Slave Leia Boots

[The Senator]

MasterKoon and I made boots for the Slave Leia costume I've been working on. I'm really pleased with the outcome:

We severed the back of the soles of a pair of Birkenstock clogs and glued pigskin onto it. Once we got the boot tops attached, I glued more pigskin onto the front half of the shoe (to match) and glued the back of the boot in to make it narrower. They lace up the front.

I did actually finish the entire costume this weekend.. I'll try to post pics tomorrow. If I remember...

The boots did turn out just as we expected which is always nice when you start to work on a project. The pigskin was the closest match to the screen used material that we could find, and I think that it turned out great on both the boots and the bikini.

The pictures were taken at the Parthenon in Nashville. It was great for the shots, as the walls and columns make a great backdrop for really any costume pictures.

I live in Knoxville TN so not quite a few thousand miles away... And half the people that have posted in this thread KNOW how bold I am in person. :cool

I think the senator actually thought I was psycho when she met me the first time... Then again so did Saxe, Clutch and their whole crew!



Thats why whoever the craziest celeb that people are afraid to handle are always assigned to me like Feldman... But they are usually more fun anyway.

Rant over, and no the senator is not too hard on the eyes!
