SL ANH Darth Vader Helmet...finished version

Good grief!
That's got to be the best ANH helmet i've ever seen....it's just so evocative of what i see on screen!

Are casts of this available to buy?

The owner's very fortunate to own such a truly beautiful helmet.
Such a piece could easily make one turn. However, good must prevail. Be strong. Do not give in to your envy. Do not give in to your hatred. Do not give in to the dark side... Too late!!

I think the SL is a nice helmet.
Definitely among the best out there (but not the best in my opinion).
My biggest criticism is the neck flare that is too wide, and the dome flare being too wide.
Surface details aside, I can't get past the incorrect flarings.

I love threads like this.
This is one of the many reasons I have been a lurker here at RPF for quite a while.

I learn much here, even if I if disagree with the conclusions and/or value judgments
placed on certain topics. I love the exchange of information though, in the end,
I feel like quoting Grand Moff Tarkin: "This bickering is pointless."

Thanks to SithLord for starting a topic that is informational without framing it
as a challenge to any other DV helmets. It is appreciated.

From firsthand experience, I don't believe the neck is flared, as it DOES appear to be in some pics.

Trust me, it's just photos. In person it's not flared! You can tell this as it doesn't even look flared in all photos.

The eFX on the other hand, I saw both in person at CV and it was definitely flared way to much on Vader's right side. The newer pics appear to be better but it won't be known for sure until the eFX hits the street. Only then will the complete correction of the flare on the eFX be proven.

True, I have pics of the SL that are definitely NOT flared in the neck, but I don't have permission to post them.
