Since a child, my daughter has always loved the cosplay, batman to Kakashi Sensei.

Since a child, my daughter never liked to wear the costumes of Princess ... but only Super Hero !
To celebrate the anniversary of her 4th birthday, I offered her the costume of "Batman" because she loved him a lot ...

Then, to celebrate its 5th anniversary, we visited the amusement park "Movie World" in Gold Coast Australia.
She could finally meet "Batman," "Catwoman", "Batgirl" and many more !

She often said she would like a costume that nobody has ...
I then created a cartoon character from her for her 6th birthday ...
As she loved playing with his friends by wearing a T-shirt with yellow and blue jeans, the cartoon character has hers favorite clothes!
She is the heroine and the title is "Vaïana and the littles Cagous" , "The Gold Mine".
Since then, she says it's a lot of fun to see kids dress like her ... ... and ask her if she is the real "Vaiana"!

Curiously, she had never worn a costume of "Star Wars" just "Amidala Heapiece"...

00512.jpg

But growing up, SHE WANTED DETAILED COSTUMES... LIKE US, WE WANT MORE !
At age 12, like all children her age, "Naruto" is her favorite animated series !
Here is it, "Sakura" and me "Darth Vader" at home.

Then in Sensei "Kakashi" !

For her 13th birthday, she finally chose a character from the saga "Star Wars" ...

"Ahsoka" !

So I bought the Master Yoda's lightsaber, which is very light for children.

For now the costume is not pretty, it's just to get an original idea ...
But it's funny... Well it's work that awaits us !

Great work!! Very cool. It's great that you can share this hobby as a family! I hope some day to share my passion of props and costumes with my son too, he's only three months old, but I've already bought him an infant wookie costume :D

I cut polythene foam that I paint in the week... Protection is normally the right arm but for the photo, I used the left arm.

NICE! Where did you get the polyethylene foam? Interesting texture on the inside of the piece.

That's great! Wish I could find that exact brand here in the USA. I could think of 1000 uses for the textured side as well. Thanks for the reply and keep us posted on the costume progress.

Thanks !

Today, I cut the buckles in a plastic ice cream.
Then I painted the arm protectors, without details of resemblance of old leather.

Merci Mr. K

It's a pleasure to visit this forum !

Today, with the permission of my daughter, I used the scrunchy.
This will help me make the edges of arm protectors.
So I sewed the scrunchy on the guard arm.
I added the buckles and painted.
The arm protectors are finally over.

Today I worked on the shin protector.
A first test is pretty conclusive.

The foam fits perfectly on the leg.

The thickness of the foam as the shin protector more attractive.

Amazing work! She's a cutie, and I love to see that you two enjoy costuming together! I can only hope that my son (just turned 1 today) inherits my love of costuming as well. :)

I wish i'd gotten into costumes that early. Its hard to costume anime characters when your in your 30s and most of them are in their 20s lol.
