Silent Running Cargo containers (paper)

A while back I found a paper model online of a truncated tetrahedron and added graphics from a 3D Studio Max model of the Silent Running cargo containers I had made to go along with my cg Drone #1. I have a .pdf file as well as a large .jpg if there is any interest.

Very cool what scale are the containers?

I never took into account the actual scale. They are about 2 1/2 inches tall. I did make them as vector graphics in CorelDraw, so I could make them any size I suppose. Eventually I want to get a Makerbot and print out my 3D Studio Max models.

Here's a brand new file. I finally got a copy of Pepakura Designer and used that to make the truncated tetrahedron from a 3D Studio Max shape. I had built the cargo containers to go along with my 3D drone and used those renders to create the graphics in CorelDRAW. I think I prefer the way Pepakura Designer unfolded it compared to my first post. Enjoy.
