Question for all. I'm confused on the correct greebies for lukes esb blaster. Some pictures show different finishes.

Finishes for me refers to the finished product and not the actual paint or stain. I'm talking about the greebies. I have seen lukes with and without pistons. Also the rings above the trigger and the rectangular piece above the grip. I'm not 100% sure of the parts required to make an film accurate bespin blaster for luke. I believe some of the finished blasters I have seen may have been idealized or just inaccurate.

I know from past builds and projects I have studied all seem to have different parts because of the duplicates used throughout filming I.E.. R2d2 in ANH has an unpainted aluminum finish panel on the back in some parts of the film,while the rest of the film would show a painted panel. Same with pictures of vaders mpp with and without screws.

I know it is my build and I can finish it anyway I choose, however, I would like it to be as accurate as possible.

The assumption is that the original blaster had 2 Distributor Retainers in the arched pocket on the left side and the Motor / Coil rectangle on the back area of the mauser

It is also assumed that the Distributor Retainers had a small gap between them.

Most pictures of the real blasters look as if parts have fallen off.

Don't know about Hans but for Luke that's correct. I only put the front distributor ring on, since it looked like the plate and rear one had fallen off. Logic would say the pistons were there at some point but we have no proof of that, not even glue stains. It's only the stunts in ESB that seem to have the pistons, rings and plate. (Resin stunts with S shaped bracket and Hoth blaster, neither of which are included in this run)

The waxes are nearly done. I should be taking the whole lot to the foundry late next week. There are two members who have expressed interest in the project that haven't contacted me, so I don't have scopes for you. Please contact me if you want a scope and/or piston set and you haven't already paid.

Beggars can't be choosers, so I guess I will take what I can get. However, if it were accurate prop replica pictures, that would be fine.
