Show me your studios

Jason, great idea. I've wanted to start a thread like this for ages; only embarrassment over the state of my own dingy shed has prevented it. :lol

Your Ma.K stash may actually be < my Ma.K stash! (Just kidding, and you'd have a lot more resin than me.) I like the K&H rack, wow, what'd that cost? You should take a couple of stereo pics, so we can get the vibe in 3d. Always fun to do that.

I gotta clean up and take some pics...

Nice setup Jason!

No pic. I guess it's why I don't build much in the last couple of years. Closet stuffed with hobby gear comes out to the kitchen table to make stuff in tiny NY apartment. Paint out on deck when the weather is good. I think I'll start sanding and gluing outdoors too in the coming spring and summer. I chose to live close enough to walk to the office instead of train it in. Can't live with the fumes in a studio apartment.

That's what I want. Might have to move first...

No kidding. Hobby shops are dropping left and right. It's a tough business to have a brick and mortar store nowadays.

When I was a kid I always used to visit the original Squadron Shop in suburban Detroit to see all the great builds in display cases. That started this passion. Then Joe Johnston got me interested in industrial design...

:lol I spray on my balcony too. When your resources are this limited, sometimes you have to McGuyver a solution.

Here's the corner in the rear of my workshop with my computer and bottled paint desk (burried under everything) this is where I sit and search through kits for parts.
No matter how hard I try to keep it in some sort of order, just one frantic search for a part wrecks havoc, though it's actually somewhat organized in this pic.

Jason-- that rug really ties the room together! LOL

I wish I had a space like that, but I'm an apartment dweller. I'm looking at buying a house this year, so hopefully I'll have a spot to build in.

I'd love to see more pictures of your paint booth and how you have it vented.

Moffeaton, Jason is it? I need a paint booth like yours- enlarged a bit. As it stands now, I have to wheel everything outside to spray.

I sometimes get passers by poking their heads in. Is your work area there off limits to children and the elderly & such?
