Shoe lifts for batman?

Hi guys I'm finally putting together a proper Batsuit and thinking about the little things whilst my armour is printed.
Now I'm only 5'11 and rather scrawny however the Askham armour should help with my muscles looking bigger but not my height.
To me batman should be stupidly tall when suited up 6'7 or so with his ears. So I was thinking of getting these 2 inch shoe lifts or possibly buying the 3 or 4 inch ones I've seen.

Has any other bat used these? If so are they comfortable to wear or agony? And will the work inside military combat boots (what I plan to use or the Base as I have 3D printed boot tops to cover most of it.)

Thanks

I've used similar ones for my Superman and Darth Vader costumes. They take a moment to get used to (unless you are used to wedge style boots or high heels), but after a while, you forget they are there. I will however recommend that your shoes should be at least a size larger than normal. (I normally wear 9.5, but got size 11 boots for both). because of the nature of the lifts, the top of your foot will be pressing against the top of the boots, (however as you are using lace up boots, it shouldn't really be too much of a factor.

I'm already a size 11 :/ batman with clown feet lol how many inches did you have in them I've seen some that add 3-4 inches to your height. I know they say Bruce is 6'2 so 3 inch boosts plus the heal of my boots and 7inch horns I should be quite a tall batman lol

I use them all the time. I am only 5'7" I think I use a two inch wedge in my boots. But only if I am doing it publically. For filming there isn't much point.

I will only be doing public. Cons, parties and charity events unlike my other suits (tend to build 1 a year wear it, sell it start another) this will be a long time keeper wanted a bat suit since I was 5 and finally in a position to do so :D so I want be the best I can and bit extra height I think will help sell it even more

I have used those exact shoe lifts, with military boots made of nylon and leather. You will definitely have to relace the boots to accommodate them, but lace up boots are ideal for them. In my experience, not terribly uncomfortable either. I've worn them for hours on end with no problems. My biggest tip to you is USE EXTRA CAUTION on stairs. Your muscle memory can screw with you and cause you to trip, and even though 2" may not seem like much it's quite a difference to your foot.

Would you recommend a size up in boots planning to get a pair similar to the Nike sfb boots but cheaper ones? I'm planning to go for the 3 inch ones I'll practice on stairs before suiting up I love 4 stories up with no lift so best practice if it's a struggle [emoji1]

A size up wasn't necessary for my boots, but I was wearing Galls brand 8" duty boots, which might be more roomy than the Nike SFB ones. I use the 2" lifts without issue, except for having to relace the boots to fit the extra heel. If you're unsure, you can always go up a half size and wear extra socks if the boots are too loose though.

These are the sort I think I'll end up using

They'll be fine. I use 3" lifts myself. I just have to have a larger size, because of the lack of an expandable front. (Both boots have no laces). (Although the biggest benefit with that for me is, that when I wear Superman, I can put my wallet and phone in the boots)

Interesting... I want to try some lifts in my Dark Knight Rises costume when I put it all together. I'm only a Size 8, but was considering the 'Mediums' in the Gotham 100s which are supposedly size 10-11. Not sure whether they will be too big and make me look like Daffy Duck! I do wear Size 10 boots with 2 pairs of thick socks with my Stormtrooper though...

I use 1-2" lifts inside my footwear for the costumes that require it, including my TDK costume. As people have recommended, the taller the lifts, the bigger the shoe size you need, so if you want to add 2-3", you should get one size bigger. They're certainly not as comfortable as walking around without them, but not terribly uncomfortable and something you can get used to over time, though you may start feeling it after a few hours of walking/standing.

For those thinking about using them for TDK boots, remember these aren't laced boots, so if you bought these in your exact size, you probably won't be able to stick more than a 1-1.5" lift in there.
