The seasom premiere was last Sunday at 10pm on Showtime. I have absolutely fell in love with it after only 2 episodes. Has a great cast. Apparently this has been running on BBC for 7 seasons so yes this is another British ripoff but so far they are doing it right. They really put the fun back in dysfunctional

William H. Macy is great as well. Actually the whole cast really pulls it together

The English version has been running for a good few years now. It was originally on Channel 4 not BBC though.
The first few seasons of that version were the best in my opinion. It seemed to go a bit downhill after that. The main characters becoming more pantomime as the program went on.

I think I managed til around the start of Series 4. After McAvoy, Kev and the older children started leaving and they introduced the Maguire family to replace them I lost interest.

I've heard good things about the American version though, so I may give it a go.
