Seeking advice on remote control system to activate props

Hi all,

I'm about to start working on a hidden camera prank tv show and will likely need to use remote control pranks to play on people. For example, i want to hide in a different room and have a control board that will activate a number of different remote operations. If i press one button and remotely make a light flicker, press another and make a solenoid push a book off a shelf, press another button and activate another gag, etc.

I'm trying to source such a remote system. Is anyone familiar with such a device?

Ebay, search "wireless rf remote relay" for starters, there are a TON of cheap Asian remote systems out there based on the same parts, you just need to decide how many channels you want... There are some 8, 12 and 15 channel units that should get you well on your way...
