I decided I'm going to make the base structure of the armour from carboard then build foam up on it, I aquired some carboard boxes from work as well as a large liquid soap container which I will use as the foundation of my back pack..

so I made a template for one section of the chest out of paper and transfered it to card..... and used tape to hold the back and front pieces together for sizing... gonna use glue when I'm happy with it

So that's as far as I have got up to now.... it's gonna be a long and sometimes complicated build but will be well worth it..... I'm gonna be fitting lots of Blue L.E.D lights throught the suit and pipes too....
here's a few items I plan on using, I have already ordered the blue air line pipe

Our brains must be made of the same stuff...
I JUST played through the fight with Mr. Freeze in Arkham City last night, and thought, "That'd be a great costume!"

I'll leave you to this one.. Maybe after you're done, I'll think about it again :p

WTF!!! no way!! I just fought him this morning hahaha!!!! (first fight with him over the cure)..... excellent game! absoloutley loving it, I had planned to do him and was at odds over whether to do Freeze or Cpt Britain and opted for a slightley easier and less daunting project lol.... but I decided to be brave this time and bite the bullet!
but dude don't be put off by me doing it, if you wanna build it then go for it, be sure to share hints with me though if you do haha!!!
I must admitt though it's not easy without a pep file... but I know in my head what i need to do so it should work out ok taking methods used in Iron Man and Predator builds etc.... I'm just winging it (hence cardboard basing everything so if I mess up it costs nothing unlike messing up with foam) lol!!

That is too funny...
So, we're playing the same game at the same time too? This is getting creepy! XD

tell me bout it dude!!! and at the same part lol! I just got to Joker on it for the cure and had the video cut scene, now I'm back to a Catwoman mission so turned the damn thing off, sorry I ever installed her add on now!! grrrrr lol!!!

small update for today.... hot glued the chest together and trimmed it down for a more chest sized fit.... when I get some foam sorted I can begin building on this then :)

Off topic: Did you choose to save Batman, or leave Arkham? I saved im, so I was wondering what happens if you go the other way....

I have no idea what you mean by save Batman or leave Arkham :/ maybe I'm not up to that now, after facing the Joker and being crushed by the falling roof my mission switched to Catwoman (big mistake cashing in my code for her!! grrrrr HATE playing her missions!) and I am no stuck with her!!! so not played it the last couple of days. lol!!

update today, I wanted to get on with this whilst waiting for my foam to come for the chest so I threw together a rough gauntlet using card and tape.... I will be taking it to pieces and only using the cardboard base to then reproduce this look using foam.... the front bit will be a blue light display stating the temperature of the suit (I reckon about -100 degrees??) there will also be blue l.e.d lights across the front of the bigger boxed section and the paper tube will be flexi hose... then all sprayed and weathered. I will also be adding various pipes and wires for effect :)

I threw this together in an hour and only went off a sketch I did earlier of what I kinda wanted it to look like.... no pep files or anything like that, purely winged it lol

Any update on this? I'm contemplating about starting a Freeze project too. (Played Arkham city last night lol )

I've been thinking about doing a mr. freeze arkham suit for a while, straight arkham city style, but alas I haven't been able to get the design done and other plans have taken priority over it, so I'm just curious how this build is going, not a lot of Freeze costumes going around.

Good luck!

hey guys,
Long time no speak......
I haven't posted in a while as my project was on hold over the xmas and new year period, I am gonna be getting back to it middle of Feb after I get a couple of birthdays out of the way and hope to have it done by May for London Expo.....
The EL wire was aquired on ebay.... I will be needing more and some EL tape too, I will be lit up like a neon christmas tree when I'm done lol! ... thanks for keeping interest and I look forward to giving you some updates soon :)

Good. It seems you are a pace setter for the rest of us interested in building our own Freeze costume. Good luck.

Not a physical update but I like to have something on paper that I am working too, so as this is my own design I have constantly been doodling images but decided to do it on paint on my comp, I'm not the best with this type of thing but it gives me something to work to besides images in my head and allows you guys to have an idea where I am headin with it.... :)

Original designs are radical!
So the inside of the chest is going to glow.
Will you have a light shining up into your face in the dome?
