Hi everyone,
here is a little behind the scene in the making of the Scratch-built contest i made.
Here is the entry # 5 ( the black gun )
First thing i did , make the sketch
used a scrap plywood plank for creating the body
added this 2 little pipes ( one is a scrap metal piece and the plastic one is a cashier roll )
cut and add a layer of 1/4" of wood ( drawer old bottom )
glued with this
to created this
for the front of the gun , i used a 2"x6" pine wood cut with the table saw
here is the plastic scrap piece i took to make the grip handle
this was for the front " vent " detail ( scrap metal piece from a Jail air vent)
and aluminum scrap piece for the middle detail , with some small mechanic screws .
and here is the result so far
i added a shelf metal bracket on the top of the gun to support the scope
an old drill switch
and my cat Halloween costume collar for the front spikes
the result :
next step , the scope built
i used a scrap polystyrene plastic and fun foam to create this.
and a magnetic key holder for the visor
little bit of Bondo on it
paint primed
and black painted
add some details like a lenses on the scope, some screws and a scrap dented strap
and finally sanded it to making the weathering to make the final result
The Second entry i have done is the #6 the some kind of District 9 space shotgun
here is the materials i have used to make this one
first i used the Wii remote gun, the party popper 6 shot, the 2 kind of light stick flare , the little toy gun and the truck toy , fit and glue together in place
add a pipe clip (to hold the scope )
use the breather on my old dust mask
dishwasher button
zippo flint distributor
white primer paint
and the other items i listed before on this tread and finished the paint with airbrushing
* forget the blaster stand , this was for my E-11 lol
so here is the final result
cheers !
