Scratchbuilding missing parts on MR AT-AT (NEW PICS)

I have just received an MR AT-AT which had the side head guns missing and the rear feet pistons missing.
It also has no display stand or acrylic cover, but i will put it in a real glass case anyway.

Here are the side guns so far:

Far left, the master i made from plastic tube, bits of lego and filler. Next one is a cast taken from a mold of the master. Next is another cast with the kitbashed german flak gun in place and a metal rod fitted through it which fits nicely into the side of the AT-AT's head.

The top part of the gun is just resting on here and is about to be molded.

Here are two new pistons which i cast from a mold taken from the original. The hole on the inside is where it fits to the peg on the AT-AT's leg. I'm going to replace all four pistons.

Swift and nice work Keith, was this from Natty's sale? damn id love to bag one of these at a knock down price :thumbsup .....lee

Yes, its the one Natty was selling.
I didn't contact MR, as i've heard other people trying to get some AT-AT guns didn't get anywhere.

Thanks,

Keith.

Thanks.

I am about to start work on the shields, but here it is so far with the guns in place. Both of the scratch built parts of the gun here are casts taken from molds of the masters i made, so the gun for the other side (which is also built and ready to fit) is identical.
The guns are a really nice fit and no glue is needed, so they can move up and down.

Loking good.
I wish had casting capabilites like that.
Are you repainting the whole thing or just the parts you did?

Lynn

I'm just going to paint the parts i've made. The paint on the AT-AT is in perfect condition.

Thanks,

Keith.
