Scratch built Darth Maul 1:1 Lightsaber

Just wanted to share with you guys my first prop, made for my Darth Maul costume:

It features a petit cruton controlling sound and light effects, and a LED Engin LZ4 10W in each end (Red colour only)

I've used a lathe and a mill, yes (not CNC, but manually operated)
I also had the fins on the emitters laser cut from 3mm aluminum plate.

oh my god! That's amazing! I forget all the things you can do with a metal lathe....I know nothing about electronics, but this legit looks like the real prop, wonderful work!

Absolutely crazy skills ... how did I miss this the first time around This is the only lightsaber still absent from my collection that I've been wanting ... yet never came to research properly due to lacking funds or priority.

Hey great job! I'm actually doing the same project but am stuck on finding all the little accessories that go on the saber. Do you have a list of sources you purchased the red buttons, silver buttons, LED holders, and button screws from?
