As for Arnold returning to old roles.. It could happen.. The franchises have been proven to be able to carry on without him. His appearance now would only bolster that gimmicky "do it for the money" approach that many just Condemned in earlier posts. He was written into the original Predators script.. He could easily get written into a sequel.. Makes sense.. Royce and Isabelle will need to get home.. More were getting dropped in at the end of the Flick.. Enter "Dutch"

Ahhh...not that you mentioned it like that, it would add a twist into it. Seeing that Arnie could be one of the first humans to kill a pred, it could be viewed as Dutch is the ultimate human trophy.

Darth...good point about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. Even if they would do a remake of Predator...the original would still shine as the trophy amongst them all.

Gonna venture a wild guess that more Predators will be written in as arriving on a new ship. Not implausible...

Oh that's a definite ‘Must’, if a sequel to ‘Predators’ is done. More predators will surely arrive on the ‘rock’ planet, either to replace the ones destroyed by Royce and company or simply for a new hunting season…which ever way it happens, Royce will/can pilot their predator ship home.

I totally agree with that and also agree with Dutch being the ultimate human trophy. Doesnt mean he cant be higher up in the millitary when he got snatched. Two pred. killers on the planet during hunting season, Royce determined to fly off, i like it.

He was a Major in the movie, so if it takes place quite a few years later he would probably be a general. Two hunters track him down and place him on the planet. I mean what more motivation for a group of predators then to tack down two humans that killed predators [except leave Glover out of it though].

But this has me a bit confused though. If the three predators on the planet, the "Berzerkers" as they call them, were on the planet as a refuge or kick out of a clan, then how could the blood feud continue? Wouldn't that mean that there is a clan of Berzerkers instead of just three?

Although this could be pretty interesting though...you could have three more Pred's from the Berzerker clan go after Royce and Izabella...then have one or two from the Predator 1's clan drop off Dutch, and go after him. Then you have Dutch team up with Royce and Izabella, then the Berzerkers and P1 clan Predators go at each other because each group wants to claim all the trophies.

Yeah, i agree about Glover. Be kinda interesting though but he hasnt done anything recently has he. But any how i think that would make for a bad ass plot. Lets not do all the thinking for Fox now lol

They way I see it, Yes. There are more ‘Super-Black’ predators, millions of them. The Berserker and friend’s, clan disownment will in no way impair the feud that’s going on between the two species of Predators ( I see them as two species like Cor-Magnon man and Neanderthal man)

Another way they could go was there was a possible sequel idea called Predator: World War.
The story was to have another team of comandos vs a group of Predators.
It was in the news section of an old 88' Starlog, i'll see if i can dig it up.
Does anyone else remember hearing/reading this?

its a misnomer ..it was meant to read "Sequel". Ive already heard stuff about the Predators sequel brewing ...there are MANY Arnold projects floating around that take precedence over anything Pred related

I always find peoples perception of Hollywood entertaining to say the least.. As if Hollywood is a single entity with a brain that makes singulary descisions. And where did you read that there is an economic crisis in the film industry?

Are production companies not currently in negotiations with Bollywood to move jointly-owned production facilities to India so they can outsource all the well-paying jobs overseas just like every other American industry has done . . . .? Or am I mis-remembering?

That's the role I see him taking...as I had mentioned earlier, I imagine him catching news of what sounds like predator activity..Traveling to the location and informing the others (much younger and more capable commandos) to the nature of what they were are facing.

look at Stallone, dude. He did okay in The Expendables. if he can kick ass stil then Arnie stil might got it.

Comes a time when it's simply painful watching an old guy try to still be a young guy.

Stallone reached that point. I'd rather not see Arnie do so.

Of course, having just reached 50 years of age last month, I may perhaps have a different view of that than you young whippersnappers do.

Continuing on the Stallone example, I really liked John Rambo (2008) and thought he did quite well in that movie, despite his age (1 year older than Arnold, by the way). Frankly, it impressed me more than many of his earlier films. According to the less-than-holy IMDB, The Expendables II has been announced...

but no-one knows what planet there on or were???,i know poplular films do get remaked ,do think it trying to get the younger generation into the films i say we was into when i think films were the craze 80's-late 90's,ghostbusters,die hards,hallowines,beverley hill cops,aliens,rambos,rockys, i really dont think films nowadays can really pull the them into cinemas with dvd's and the internet young people n teenages are not into it .yes arnie would be gud to see playing a role but i think i can only see him as a advisor to a team nothing else.
