How are you planning to finish it? I like the idea of a "wet look" for the webbing - maybe coating the entire thing with a lacquer after painting it?

Thanks IronJoe! I'm still finishing the webbing today. I have a quick seal lacquer spay but I'm also breaking out the airbrush to give it some depth. The problem was if I just wrapped it you get this huge build up in the middle so I started cutting strips of 6 to 12 pieces each and laying them in different areas after the first layer was put on. I should be finished with it tonight or in the morning.

Well I'm almost done. I still need to seal it and possibly hit it with the airbrush but it's not too bad. It wears straight, and it's a bit bigger than I wanted but at least it's functional. I can fit my wallet, cell phone, and camera in it and still have room for stuff from the convention. It's a learning experience I'll give you that. I did reinforce the shoulder straps with elastic straps and they hold a 10lb weight, not to shabby.

Thank you sir! Hind site being what it is now, I would have made the opening in the back of the pack and repositioned the placement of the straps. It just doesn't look right to me...... AHHH crap I might try to fix that in the morning.

So I touched up my we'd pack and repositioned the shoulder straps so it wears a lot better. I also frayed the edges of the opening so it's less noticeable. I'm much happier with the results.

Well that's all the pics I have from the con. I took a lot more, just not with my camera. It was awesome to be recognized by so many people and kids. The kids were great! Thanks for all the help guys and gals. I'll start on my Halloween costume in July.

Cool well at least you saw me there. I didn't figure I'd place after seeing all the cool costumes. That Alien was Awesome!! I talked with the guy who made the General Zod costume, what a cool guy. He took a pic with me but I didn't get one myself. Thanks for the compliments. The wife and I are talking about next year. She wants to do thisso of course I have to go as

Oh I'm sure you will. Thanks for the compliment. I have a new found respect for cosplay and everyone who does it. I have found so many references here I know my 2nd project will be even better.

Just a quick note for those who may still be following my thread, I have aquired a C.A.D. program for a new HERO! I have the bug now and I'm gonna start on it this weekend. NO it's not Ironman, but it is a big man so to speak......Halloween build is going to start early.
