all the parts still need to be hit with a grinder and reshape a little but I think its a good start and hopefully the next one will go a lot faster fingers and knuckles tomorrow

spent almost all day trying to figure out how to do the knuckles I finally got them close to what I was looking for. I must have made 15 different templates and hammered out 5 total failures. I wanted to avoid having to weld anything but I dont think there was anyway around it at least not with my skill set.

Still working on the gauntlet I'm almost done but no new photos till its done. I started working on the rest of the armor. here's a little preview of the vambrace.

I know i said no more pics of the gauntlet till they were finished but I scraped my original and used it to make a better template and I'm glade I did. You might not be able to see to much of a difference but believe me its a major improvement from the the first go around witch i pretty much eye balled all the way through. I'm plan on making a pdf with these templates if anyone is interested just PM me. Stivie if your still following this I used the car batter charger ( in the photo ) frog tape and salt water to etch the piece in this picture. I think it worked out really well and a little black shoe polish really brought out the etch.

Looks great. Thanks for the pic and info. You must have covered the entire piece with tape then cut out your design and removing the rest?

yup. it was kind of a pain to cut out but other than that its super easy.
