Sandpaper, why you clog?

It doesn't seem to matter all that much as it'll clog no matter if it's cheap or not. My autobody teacher bought pricey stuff for class and it clogged as fast as the cheap. I have noticed that the cheap stuff just plain wears out faster. I bought my last paper at the everything for a dollar store as a no name brand and they had packages of 3m autobody paper in multi packs i loaded up on.

Brass metal brush used for cleaning files works on sand paper as well.

I got a wire brush to try what you show, but I think the bristles are too soft. They don't do well. I'm going to try to stick with 60 grit paper until I get to the finishing stage.
