This is my first build with any median so I made a lot of mistakes. I used EVA foam for the armor and a pep file for the helmet. I Made the mistake of not having more pictures of the helmet so after I had pep'd , resined and bondo'd for a few days I relized some flaws and mistakes. I fixed some but I don't have the time to start over. this is my progress so far.

Sorry the images are side ways. Trying to fix that.

Here are some updated pics. I have details to do and I need to clack wash everything once I am done. I fit her helmet with some padding and i don think i have room for a piece of plexi for the shield on the helmet. I might have to cut and extend the peak on the forehead out due to warping. Almost done.

Need to start working on the guns but my dremmel died. SMH just when I was getting on a roll

All right folks. Here is my update. I detailed the helmet and finished all the armor. I am still working on the range finder. I feel like I need to black wash the gear. Thoughts?

I am about to get the blasters started as well as the holsters. will update soon.

The helmet was a pep from bo katan that was modified. Keep close attention to the rim, cheeks and the ears. These are where the main modifications needed to take place. Use many reference pics. I didnt and made many mistakes. The visor. lens is from office dept. It is a full face shield replacement. Here is the ink for the helmet.

The armor I made using templates that I made using refrence pictures and card stock. I used EVA foam that I had shapped with a heat gun and sealed it with the heat gun as well. I used 6 coats of plasti dip to covert the foam. This helps eliminate the cracking of the paint because the plasti dip is flexible. I used the spray version but they have a paintable version.

The paints that I used are

Rust- oleum ultra cover Primer /gray 269441
Rust- oleum ultra cover + primer/ Gloss real orange 249095
Rust- oleum ultra cover/ clear gloss 249117
Rust- oleum Bright Coat Metallic finish / aluminum 7715
Krylon color master paint and primer / gloss rich plum 51914
Krylon Color master purple gloss / 51913

Clothing was purchased at walmart and the armor on the chest and shoulder was velcro'd on and the elbow and knee pads were attached using straps. 20141031_180022_Android.jpg20141031_180025_Android.jpg20141031_180102_Android.jpg

Did you use Bo Katan for the helmet?

Yes I did use bo katan pep. I just modified it a bit.

This is fantastic! Thanks for all the reference pictures I will be using them for my build. I can't get over how great the paint looks.

CaptainPhill,
The build looks great! Nice work. My question is regarding the Bo Katan pep file you used. Did you have to scale the file at all within Pepakura for your daughter? I plan on building this for my 9 yo daughter and wanted to check first with you. I did some measuring in the pep file, but I am noob at all of this. You know the carpenter's rule, "Measure twice and cut once."

Thanks in advance.
