We are at an exciting time In the process.

One thing we were having a problem with was the pricing and logistics of the blade.
Devin TheSaberTrade has been making blades up to this point that require hours of clean up before being able to assemble them due to the way they were machined. This is why he rightfully would charge around 300$ + per blade. We toyed with the idea of having the customers do the clean up and gluing and offering the diy kit for closer to 200$ for those could swing the assembled ones.
We decided to have the parts injection molded ( EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE UP FRONT) to make a more affordable solution.
We will be having the SaberTrade assemble the blade parts in bulk that we are having made. The blade parts will be done in less then 30 days days from the injection molding factory. The saber trade will need 3-4 weeks to assemble the. So expecting mid or early April for the blades kits to be done and ready to ship.
The blade kits will be 240$ and be quick and easy to complete.
They will just require 3 wires be soldered from the led strip to the pcb. Then the pcb placed into the bottom of the hole.

If you requested a blade we will be updating your invoice this upcoming week.
We will also be adding the shipping cost.
Please if you can only pay half the cost of the blade for Now.
Remainder due when closer to completion.

If wanting more then one blade let us know.

It should. Nothing about the materials and build structure is is changing so.

Thank you for all the hard work! I know we haven’t seen the final decal design yet, but would it be feasible / realistic to have an option for a clean decal without the “lightning” design?

I’m excited to see the final piece either way but I wanted to throw the idea out there! By all means I’ll be happy with however it turns out.

Any chance you could post a photo of the illuminated switch/button that will be coming with the kit?
It didn’t illuminate well because the factory uses trans white.
In the final version it will be clear for light to shine thru.
If end user wants it more matte they can sand it

And we mentioned here that if you originally requested the saber trade blade we would be adding it to your invoice and require 50% payment.
We have over 190 invoices to go thru and update.
Please understand it takes a long time to go thru and adjust each invoice. If you don’t see an adjustment to your invoice ( or a new invoice only including the blade if you accidentally paid in full) within the next 10 days message us.
We have detailed records on a spreadsheet on all who requested a blade.

If you don’t remember if you requested one and want to make sure you did request one or you want to change your answer from yes to no or no to yes on the blade you can just search your sent emails to Justin@saberbay.com or you can search for “my ds “ which should have been in your request
Please do this first before making an inquiry

See back then I was under the impression I needed to contact a 3rd party for a blade. This is what I wrote, think I’m good?

Thanks for bringing this up. I just checked my email. I had two invoices on PayPal and one was canceled, which is all good. But the canceled one had the information about the blade reserve, and the current invoice doesn’t have it. Thought I’d mention it here since that seems to be where the confirmation of blade reserve is. I’ll send my invoice number in private message.

Yes and so we used that information to put in a spreadsheet you would be ordering a blade, and with that spreadsheet we are going thru each person to invoice them for a blade kit or not depending on their initial email request

every time an invoice is changed a notification will be sent to you by PayPal
