Has it been said when the reserves will start to ship? This would be my first install ever and I’m just curious how much time it will be until these ship?

No it hasn't been announced. However I think they said 2-11-22 is when reserves are being closed so I would project a month or two after that is when shipping would start is my assumption.

Unfortunately a finish like that is going to be very hard to do manually, my suggested technique was to do the high gloss powdercoat over the handle, and the raised areas can be dulled down to the user's liking using a very fine steel wool. Matching the handle gloss to the emitter area is comparing anodizing to powdercoating though

if its too much of a contrast between the handle and the rest of the parts end users can always spray them with gloss enamel and back the parts. Powder coating those as well would be tricky due to the threaded holes and changes in tolerance

you are correct that is the goal! this is always a tricky time of year as the factories can be ahead or behind depending on the work they took on before the Chinese new year

That makes sense, thanks for the info! By chance does anyone know where these photos are of the different coatings? I would love to see the different versions of the hilt but can’t find them in the forum…

To my untrained eye the line looks the same on the prop and on Saberbay's.

Could just be shadowing, hard to tell with a black hilt in dark environments

Not sure why they would change that detail

Really just seems like an angle distortion

There will be no more changes though, these are are in production

The final product will be a mix of all 3 versions

Mostly season 2 and 3(book of boba fett episode that was clearly a mando episode thought up before book of boba was a thing)

There will be a limited amount leftover after fulfilling the reserves.
The cost will be higher though.
Have not done the math as to how much
