Limited Run Running Engine Lights for deAgostini Falcon

hi if i buy 4 sets will it be one shipping cost? as we are half way through the mags here in australia land.

thanks

I just want to clarify, are these actually blue color LEDs or are they just white that are coming off as blue in that video above?
They are actually RGB neopixel LEDs so they can emit any color. When they are off they are transparent. They are programmed to emit only blue and a bit of while when the brightness is at the max.

Hi Gus, Great lights :thumbsup. Paypal payment just sent for 2 sets with shipping to the UK. Cheers John

On your YouTube channel, there's a video for something called "Extra Lights Kit for deAgostini Millennium Falcon". Are those for the cockpit (or hold) and are they available too?

Thank you, I am glad you are interested, this was meant to be for the cockpit...But I guess can also be used for the hold. I was planning to release those too, but did not have a change yet...

Hello Gus, does your engine lighting pose any risk of blowing the stock board? Do any modifications need to be made to power your units? Someone posted on the Facebook tread that they may require more power than the stock board provides. Thanks!

I heard there was a concern about Neopixel LEDs drawing too much current so that it can possibly damage the circuit board that is supplied by deAgostini. In short, I don't see any reasons for concerns. While Neopixels do require a lot of current, please note, only 1/3 of LEDs are ON because only blue color is emitted. On top of that there is no current spike because the brightness is turned on gradually and Neopixel LEDs are never all at maximum brightness. I did a quick current measuring test on the stock LED strip and Neopixels LED strip.

As you can see while The Neopixels indeed take more current then the stock LEDs, it is still within acceptable value for the transistor that opens the current (500mA).

Got my lights Gus and they look terrific.
Concerning the stock Deagostini 6 volt control board, is it possible to run these lights off 12 volts? I'm considering ditching the stock Deagostini board altogether in favor of a more robust 12V wireless multi-channel relay.

Great, thank you for the feedback!
Yes, this is "Trinket Pro" by Adafruit. According to the manufacturer it can take anywhere from 6 V to 16 V.
